love1336x Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) On average out of the whole week how many times do you see your love? How long is your visit? I feel in my last relationships... Me and my man were always connected to the hip! Even though we both worked. We always were together. Hell, even when I had long distance relationship with a cop.... when he got off his shift, and he knew i had class... He would still see me even for an hour... My new boyfriend though... We see each other once a week. It bothers me. I try to schedule more hanging out time, but he just seems to say no… He’s hanging out with his friend So, I feel maybe I should be more busy with my friends, go clubbing more instead of trying to hang out with him. Is once a week enough? Am I asking for too much? I mean I don’t want to be attached to the hip, but twice, or even three times a week would be nice…. Edited April 3, 2014 by love1336x
Babolat Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 The answer is, it depends. If he is not giving YOU what YOU need, it's probably not a good match. I like my alone time, so I am going to tell you 2, maybe 3 times a week when initially dating.
TXGuy Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Once a week does not sound like a lot for an established relationship. I thought I was on the 'infrequent' end of the scale with twice a week (one weekday night and one weekend night). You can try to address the frequency with your bf. perhaps he would be open to increasing it. Either way, I see nothing wrong with you living your life in your free time, though I'd question why you would go to hookup activities like clubbing (unless you intend to start shopping for a new guy). 2
clia Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 What do you mean by once a week? (Is once a week a two hour dinner, or is it all day and evening on Saturday?) How long have you been dating? When initially dating, we saw each other 2-3 days a week -- typically for one weeknight dinner, then a portion of the weekend, including Saturday nights. As things got more serious, we saw each other 3 days per week -- typically we spent the entire weekend together. 1
AliOop Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I recently had a BU, but we would get together once a week and for me it definitely was not enough. 1
Gaeta Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Once a week would not be enough for me and I am quite independent. Every day would be too much. I like 1 or 2 times on weekend and 1 night during weekdays. 1
Treasa Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 He keeps coming home after work each evening, and starting next week we'll be working at the same place, so too much! Ok, kidding. Usually. 1

I enjoy clubbing... I don't see it to hook up with a man. In my years of going to a club, I have not left home with a man, nor with his number. I simply like to look beauitful and dance my booty off. :]

Well once a week I usually will stay over his place, or his will stay over my place, but by the morning we both either work, or have class. So no real time for even breakfast! The weekends.. he is usually booked with his friends doing something with sports, and I work 3rd shift. I mean I would try for a Friday date this week, but he told me... "My friends might want to hang out." And so... just makes me feel like his friends come first vs me.
