CadeYeager Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I have a good amount of female friends and when we get onto the topic of "approaching" people, they say that girls can be pretty damn shy. Now they obviously aren't talking about all girls, just more than the average amount. A good point was brought up. Girls don't just dress up just to dress up, now if they are already taken then that's one things, but a lot do it because they want to be noticed. Girls an always make the first move, but society somewhat pushed them to be the one approached. So what do you guys think? Guys need to take this into account and act more than sit back?
HappyLove Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm VERY shy when it comes to that. I could never approach a guy. Plus guys are RARELY interested in women who approach them. They may be flattered but they think she's desperate. Women are warned not to approach men because it hardly ever works out. 1
thecrucible Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm not shy but I want a guy to prove to me that he likes me enough to make a move. I will not be making explicit moves myself because it is unnatural and unfeminine to me.
RonaldS Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm VERY shy when it comes to that. I could never approach a guy. Plus guys are RARELY interested in unattractive women who approach them. Philosopher Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I know quite a few girls who are shy and would not approach others. On the other hand other girls I know are very confident and will quite willingly start conversations with people, including guys they fancy. Whether someone is shy at approaching others depends on the individual, not the gender. You can't pigeon hole all girls as being shy.

Women are taught from early on that men will have a 'blanket appreciation' of them meaning that just because a guy is looking at her, it doesn't mean that he cares all that much. If he is really interested in getting to know a woman/girl, he will approach and make the effort. Otherwise the odds are he isn't interested.
