kiwi18 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) First question: I asked him if he had time to talk some time during the weekend and he answered saying that he will let me know as his weekend plans pan out. I think this is one of the worst reponses out there, because it sounds to me like he's expecting me to be free all day to wait for his call just because I'm the one who asked if he had time. Either way, is it overreacting to think he's just saying I'm the last on his list and that he doesn't really want to talk to me? Second question: English is my second language and thus I sometimes have difficulty interpreting simple terms. Many times when I suggested something, he would say something like, "sure, if you want to". Does this "if you want to" imply that he doesn't want to do it but that he's agreeing just because I want to do it? Thank you for reading. Edited March 29, 2014 by kiwi18
Grumpybutfun Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 kiwi, He is the type who doesn't make concrete plans. You might want to ask a question of him directly like... Do you want to go see the movie Captain America at 5 pm on Friday night and get a bite to eat right afterwards at Subway? "Sure, if you want to" guys are hard to pin down and they get on here and wonder why the girl lost interest in him after they had sort of made plans. Concrete plans are the way to go if you can stand this kind of flaky behavior. I cant. Good luck, Grumps
Gaeta Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 First question: I asked him if he had time to talk some time during the weekend and he answered saying that he will let me know as his weekend plans pan out. That to me, means he will book his weekend with more fun things to do and IF there is a little free spot he will let you know. It means you are not a priority. Just the fact you have to ask him when he'll be available to see you should ring a bell that he's not that into you. Second question: English is my second language and thus I sometimes have difficulty interpreting simple terms. Many times when I suggested something, he would say something like, "sure, if you want to". Does this "if you want to" imply that he doesn't want to do it but that he's agreeing just because I want to do it? English isn't my first language as well and I hate being answered *sure if you want to*, I also hate being answered * I guess* or *Talk later* when it doesn't even mean we will talk later !! So, *sure if you want to* is a lucky-warm answer. If he were really interested he would answer *Yes I would like that*. If a man cannot clearly show his interest then too bad for him. You are too good, too cute, too fun to be waiting for him to figure it out, move to next.
