This is all true and quite a sitcom mess My gf broke up with me because we were unhappy after 4 years. It was a little awful. It turns out I was gay, I always knew but didn't want to be. In the meantime she started dating a professor while still in her last year. Aside from that we spoke 9 months later and I think she was expecting me to be a mess. She kept trying to arrange meetings I blew off continuously because I really didn't need anything from her. Told her I was gay, assured her I was always this way and that she didn't "turn" me. She didn't change at all in the 9 months and I really had no interest in being friends. I guess now I've had a shred of guilt or caring? and I'm wondering if I should do anything or just block her on linkedin?

It wasn't very nice of you to use her to try to escape being gay and she's probably angry and hurt by that, but I'm sure you know that already and have sufficiently suffered so I won't tell you off for it. Just out of curiosity, why do you care if she blocks you anywhere? It sounds like she might have the idea that you're not really gay, or that she can 'turn' you back. I think you just need to block her on Linked In and go NC. If she is persistent, just tell her, calmly, that you are gay and not interested in striking up a friendship as you think it will hurt her in the end and you don't want to do that. 1
