Crush like a 'ladie's man' and has a protective bestfriend

There's this girl in my high school history class that I really like but I have two problems:

 

1) She likes another guy in that class, but he's a complete ladies man. He probably has hundreds of other girl's numbers on his phone. He doesn't really care about her at all, and is just flirting with her for the hell of it. She's realizing this and tries to be funny with it by saying desperate things such as "You never text me haha!" and "lol, What about our 'relationship' and our 'love'?!". I always see them flirting and it's so ridiculous because I know he doesn't even care and she sounds so foolish. I know she won't get anywhere with him.

And

2) My crush's best friend is in that same class, and I am friends with her, but she seems bound to do some major cock-blocking if I try to get with her best friend. It seems she only allows the other dude to flirt with her without interruption because she's attracted to him also, but I don't know. This girl and my crush always talk to the dude when we do group projects.

Two major problems here

1. Even if he IS a ladies man, and doesn't really care about her, or has a ton of girl's numbers on the phone, bottom line is, she's not INTERESTED in YOU. Being the guy that wants to "save" her from him breaking her heart doesn't make you a potential mate, at least in her eyes.

 

2. If her friend is cock blocking you, then they are aware of your interest, ans she WANTS her friend to cock block you. If she didn't, she would tell her to back off.

 

In other words dude, you don't have chance in hell with this girl. Don't be the sappy guy that believes your love for her will win her over sooner or later...
