J21 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm sure there is no clear cut answer, but I was just curious: Around how many dates does the guy plan, before the girl who is interested initiates? Thanks for any input.
Sivok Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Depends. I dated a girl before who took the initiative to plan and ask me out on our 2nd and 3rd dates. I've had others I've dated for months that I always had to make plans for.
TB Rhine Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 She will not take the initiative on anything until she has you well and truly ensnared. She will then take complete and utter control of every aspect of your life... how you dress, who you hang out with, what you do during every free minute, etc. Welcome to the wonderful world of romance.
d0nnivain Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 It depends on the woman & the coupes' dynamic. CW says the woman should plan something around date 4-5. Some women will never initiate.

What? Who have you been dating?
Gottabestrong Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I usually start initiating by date 3, meaning I ask him out after our 2nd date. After that I will freely suggest we get together when I feel like it, but if I notice that I am doing more than half of the asking-out, I will pull back a little and let him pick up some slack.
veggirl Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I planned the 3rd date w/ my bf. I don't know what the norm is though, nor was I thinking "its my turn to initiate", it just happened.
