About two years before I was in a bar with a female friend and she said "Do you know (Name)?" and gestured at him across the room. I said I sort of, at some point we had said hello to one another at a party or something but that was it. She said "You should be with him, he's intellectual like you." I said "Oh ..." I didn't know anything about him save for his name and what he looked like." Two years later, we ended up exchanging some banter on Facebook, began chatting, and then he asked me out that way. He turned out to be an Alpha Male (aka Bad Boy), we were together for 6 months. But that's the story.

She is so beautiful, sexy, smart, funny and super nerdy!! We are in a committed relationship for 5 months, and I plan to propose to her early next year. We both knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together really early on. So it's true.... when you meet "THE ONE", you just know it. Can't explain it any other way. 1

The only time I was happy was when I'd go to work because he and I would just laugh, poke fun at each other and have good conversations, he's all I could think about for 3 months. I decided to finally ditch the dud and me and my boyfriend have been together 9 months now. He's the first long term guy I've dated that I did not meet at a bar and so far our relationship is much healthier than any I've been in previously.

Things have moved slowly relationship-wise, which is very different from my past experiences! We have great chemistry, great conversation, and he is a genuinely good person. I never had the immediate "I'm going to marry this person" feeling, but I am enjoying our relationship as it unfolds

Her eyes are just the greenest I've ever seen and she just looked at me and I was a gone! ...unfortunatly she wrote me straight off as a 'knuckle-headed jock' that's the disadvantage of captaining the football team ...but luckily being determined is my best quality, being stubbon is my worst and basically they're one and the same thing I didn't take no for an answer, I just had to find the right approach was all. We became friends and then became better friends and then we were really really close and eventually, eventually bent the key word, that became an official relationship. What kind of things brought you together and that sparked the interest, attraction, and comfort I guess...aside from being stunning, she's super witty and I love that, really easy to talk to and she's got one hell of a sense of adventure. She used to get us into some crazy s*** but she had this way of making you feel that it was all under control as long as you were with her.

It was a u-shaped table configuration, we were sitting opposite each other and made eye contact the whole time... I had to leave early, so later that day I went to his profile on Linkedin (I had his name from the group email was sent so I found him that way). Sent an innocuous email like "It was was nice to meet you and the other professors today. This is my first year at the University so I appreciated getting to know the people at the school" blah blah... I figured if he was interested, it would be an opening - if not, it's not like I asked him on a date! He responded right away and asked me out for coffee... that was six months ago and we've been inseparable ever since. It was funny because he had seen me around the school - and had even spoken to me once at a copy machine - but I didn't recall seeing/speaking to him...Funny, too, he thought I was younger than I am (44) and I thought he was older that he is (35) -so we averaged out right in the middle... As far as what attracted us/made us comfortable - We just had instant chemistry (we're both Scorpios!) and a lot in common by virtue of our work, but he is also just a sweetheart as well...

Similar interests in our profiles, physical attraction, of course, and her banter, wit and charm in her messages to me. She caused me to laugh, and she wrote very well, which is a turn on for me.

We became quick friends, but it took about 3 months of becoming better friends and me pushing for a date before she finally agreed. Had our first date day after my bday. Been together ever since...4 years in November (i'm 31 now). While difficult, my persistence paid off and eventually won her over. So much more worth while.
