I recently figured out my 4 year relationship to my first love was only one sided on the feelings. How do you even begin to love and trust someone again after your first love was a sociopath? 1

I recently figured out my 4 year relationship to my first love was only one sided on the feelings. How do you even begin to love and trust someone again after your first love was a sociopath? After an initial grief period, just like I did, you need to focus on improving yourself and solving your own issues so that you don't wind up with another person like that. 1
