1st date, no hug or kiss?

In the middle of date two, just pucker your lips, close your eyes...and wait. Pick a random time and be a little over-the-top about it.
DO you know my first girlfriend - when I was almost 18 and in the last month or so of High School? We had been dating for a week or two, and talked a little about kissing, but that's what she had to do before I could work up the courage to actually kiss her. I still have the image of her standing on her back porch, turning to face me, lightly embracing me, turning her head up - slightly opening her lips - asking with her eyes - and waiting for me to do it. Yeah, rather comical but also romantic and significant. I truly hope she has a great husband and fulfilling life. Patty, are you reading this?

OK, it's clear that we're not talking about a pair of 16 year olds here. He may be very shy - very conservative - or maybe very hurt from a prior experience and afraid to expose his feelings, or risk having a physical experience camouflage and corrupt his emotions. Don't write him off on the basis of what has happened so far.

No we are in our 30's. I have no intent to write him off based on this...but I do hope there is more spark in the physical sense next time. :)

- Isn't attracted to you

- Is shy

- Doesn't express affection easily

- Believes in taking things REALLY slow

Could be any of those really.

Yes, any of them are possible. I find it hard to believe he isnt attracted when he was the one who suggested going out again. But I guess its still possible...

You might need to be the one who initiates most of the physical contact if he won't. If that's not your style then you'll need to move on.

My style is when initiation is equally balanced...but if I need to make a big 1st move in order to progress that then I dont have a prob with it. Once a relationship gets moving though, I do have a problem if its always me and never him...

He might be shy, maybe he just wants to take things slow? Some men worry about scaring women off if they appear too 'full on' maybe hes keeping his guard up. Want to know how the second date goes!

He and had found we both like festivals...so I learned of one happening the weekend that he said we would go out again. so the other night I texted him about it. He asked about what of festival it is so I gave him more details and said we should check it out after he gets back to town. Haven't heard from him since.

So I guess this guy was just full of bull. I don't have patience for games...could care less if I ever hear from him again...
