CarrieT Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) So many people picking his "intellect". ? Get real, when in the history of FOREVER has a woman ever gotten all hot and bothered when a guy displays his knowledge and opinions on the Quantum theory. He isn't talking about marriage material here, just what turns you on. Seriously? ME! I went on a first date with a guy that didn't do much for me physically; a bit pudgy around the belly, middle-aged with a baby face, very mid-western-ish non-descriptive look. I posted about him after a few dates in October, 2011 (just to document the timeline and that it really DID happen!) The beginning of my fifth paragraph is where I describe the first time I remember being physically turned on by shear smarts, which occurred on our second date: "The things that turn me on are stuff like his translating the kanji on a Japanese coffee maker, how he describes the beauty of my eye through his scientific knowledge, all the intellectual, geeky things..." We are now engaged and - yes - he knows he can turn me on by simply describing the science of how we entered the space race, or a particularly new challenging surgery technique he is perfecting, or any number of things along those lines. It is an ongoing joke that we might be in an elegant restaurant, holding hands and looking longingly at each other, when he might whisper a scientific theorem and I simply melt and he knows there is great sex in our future. Edited June 1, 2013 by CarrieT 2
Els Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 But I wouldn't say no to the new BBC's cute Sherlock Holmes tbf posted So true. I tend to crush on ALL the Sherlock Holmes portrayals I see/read about. It's a running joke between the bf and I. I was really meh about the latest one (Jonny Lee Miller) when I first saw him, but the role totally grew on him, and I was all in by the 3rd episode or so. But I suppose I can't fondle the bf's brain, so I will have to settle for shoulders, ass, and back. 1
phineas Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 OP, Here is my experience. The women who tell me i'm hot before we went on an actual date have done it to lead me on or use me for favors, dinner, drinks, or even sex. The women who don't even mention my physical appearance and tell me i'm "funny" or pick on me in some way don't tell me how attractive I am until its clear that we are dating. Now that said, i've had a lot of women mention my bi-ceps & one said she wanted to bite them. That's like the 2nd time i've heard of this biting of the bi-ceps. LOL!

phineas Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I just attempted to bite my own bicep. It did nothing for me. I've never actually had someone attempt to bite them they just said they wanted to bite mine or someone elses bi-ceps. so IDK either.
runningfar Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I really don't notice men's looks very often. It's worthless if I don't know them.
hudson701 Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Lol at all these ridiculous replies about being turned on by 'intellect'. Seriously, if that's the case then all men can walk around with paper bags on their heads providing they are intelligent and witty as that will be enough to get a women wet and attracted. All those posts about short men being unsuccessful in dating, men living in a houseshare blah blah blah are incorrect then? All you need is to be intelligent? I don't buy it, and neither will a million university geeks who read this forum. All the women I know, who are top of the tree in terms of looks and education, are never with ugly or average looking men. Is it just pure coincidence that their partners are both very educated AND extremely good looking/in shape?
JackieChiles Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I am surprised with some of the replies being hands. With that said, I do think hands are one of the more attractive features of a woman.
Hopeless80 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I'm going through a phase right now where I can't stop looking at a guys arms. I like them to be thick and muscular, but not too muscular.
Hazzard Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 So basically every woman likes a big, tall muscular man...I'm screwed then.
Anela Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Ummmmm.... BRAIN. Seriously - I get seriously wet when a guy displays smarts. Yes, it counts for a lot. Physically: forearms and hands. Good shoulders. I've checked out a few butts, too.
Disenchantedly Yours Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 For some reason, strangers (females) pat me in the butt and then wink at me. So I think there are a lot of butt-loving women out there. Do some women see a man's butt the same way a man sees a woman's breasts? Ladies please chime in. Seriously...women pat you on the butt? I find that so strange. I would never dream of grabbing a complete stranger. Are you at clubs when this happens or the super market? It's all about the eyes for me...and nice arms don't hurt. Cause ..ya know..arms wrapping around you is very important. I could care less about his butt...I never underestand the attraction with a man's hinney.
