But revel in the victory today. You have made one pessimistic poster see the world a little brighter today.

Well for one, it's the first time I kissed a girl in ten years. Not only that, I'm actually attracted to this girl, which I wasn't with the other one. Back then I was really desperate and settled for anything. Now this girl is far above my base standards.

 

After making it to my car, I felt like I was in a minor shock or something and just sat there for 5 minutes. Even now I still can't really believe that it happened.

 

Disappear from LS? Not a chance :) I enjoy this board and the community too much.

I'm not sure yet what the next date should be. One thing that makes things complicated is that we live 45 minutes apart.

 

One thing I'd really like to do is take her salsa dancing. Though it's a late night activity and the club I go to is in my city. Needless to say, it's the perfect setup for her to stay the night. But I think it's still too soon for that. There is a salsa club close to where she lives, but that means I'll be doing a 45 minute drive back home at 11 pm.

So I'm at a loss for now.

 

So, she is a traditional undergrad student?

Everybody drives 45 minutes to get everywhere in LA. The salsa idea is great. Other date ideas.

Yup that's her. The "me" time didn't last for long I guess ;)

 

Now that I think about it, she probably has liked me for a while, at least the last couple of weeks that we were in class.

Hah, well she'll be 21 in July.

 

So yeah, she knows how old I am, what my college situation is and stuff like that.

 

And yes, she's young, pretty, smart, fit and has nice boobs. Frankly I hit the jackpot :cool:

 

Now I just need to work on keeping her happy.

The salsa dancing idea is GOLD!! Lots of physical contact, you get to show her off, etc.! She will have so much fun she will stay too late, get into it, you take her home, get it on and the story will be the classic "I dunno, it just happened."

 

You may not feel ready, the situation is, that is what is important. Just let nature take it's course, feel it, and everything works itself out.

 

Plus it puts you in a different environment with her. YAY!

I think there is a bit of a lesson for other struggling guys. No matter how many times SD winged on here, no matter how many times he got flat out rejected, he kept on trying to ask girls out.

OMG, I'm happy for you, Somedude! I'm so inspired and touched I almost teared up a little. I realize that I was probably one of those voices of negativity discouraging you in the past and I apologize for that.

 

One word of caution. Please don't make this girl everything, just enjoy the moment. If things don't work out I am worried you will take it to heart. Whatever happens take it in stride and view the whole experience as inspiration to keep pushing.

Hot damn, dude. I couldn't be happier for you. As someone else said, no matter what happens with this girl (after all, 20 year olds can be flighty and unpredictable as they are still getting to know themselves), I am really proud of you and you should be proud of yourself for going for it and overcoming your fears.

I recall others saying to back off but there was something about what she said that hinted an "opening".

I just don't know about having sex with her yet. Of course I want to. I swear after I kissed her I almost had priapism. About 45 minutes for it to calm down.

 

Though I do feel that the next date will be a bit more intense. I'm actually kind of worried because obviously it will start with a kiss and then it might be a bit hard to stop.

 

This is all really new to me.

I completely understand what you are talking about. If she does end it, what would affect how I feel is how far into it we are. For example if she decides she doesn't want to have a third date I would be completely fine. But if it happens like two months down the line from now and we've gotten much closer, I don't know how I'd take that.

Take it one day at a time.

 

If it happens two months down the line, you will have had experiences that will change who you are and how you respond, so you cannot guess now how you would feel then. If that makes sense.
