lingardx Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 recently got back with my boyfriend a week ago, and things are going very slow which i understand that they would be as he lost trust in me (not for cheating) i really want to make it work this time around as i know he is the one i want to be with. so how can i show him that i appreciate him? i know it's not all about presents but i'd like to do something for him to show him that i do care. i've made him a trophy, bought a really cute card and said some nice words in it, bought tickets for Jimmy Carr.

KatZee Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Showering him with THINGS aren't going to show him how much you appreciate him. The trophy is a little cheesy. Only actions, over a period of time are going to show him how much you appreciate him. You can't buy his appreciation and overtime that's going to become a bit overbearing (if that's the route you're trying to go.) Just treat him the way you'd want to be treated. Honesty, communication, gain his trust back.

Wait until he's earned it. The way to show him how you feel is to just be trustworthy; no more lying.
