ls32ssibm Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I'm 24, and since I my g/f broke up with me last August, I haven't been able to find anyone else. We met in 4th grade, so any experience I had with her is out/ Out of college, no girls around work. I have a cute dog; every person in the parks around here are older. Hanging out around colleges I don't attend and going out to places with the sole intention of meeting girls seems kind of lame. Besides that, it seems like girls ages 19-24 have vanished off the face of the Earth when I'm looking for them. Online dating is totally awful in my experience.
MrCastle Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 As a fellow 24 year old I can say they exist, they're just taken. The ones I want, anyway. 2

Funny you say that, because I have noticed quite a few girls who are 21, 22, 23 with guys who are 28, 29 30. I guess they have a bigger pool to choose from.
MrCastle Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Funny you say that, because I have noticed quite a few girls who are 21, 22, 23 with guys who are 28, 29 30. I guess they have a bigger pool to choose from. I know a few girls like that. Then they complain via facebook updates about how they don't feel loved or other stuff regarding their poor relationships. It's like, well yeah, because you're dating a 30 year old who's only interested in banging you and you think he's some mature older man who wants to settle dow with you. One girl who was "dating" some guy was having issues because she wanted to get exclusive but the guy said work was in the way. Haha, so work got in the way of having a relationship with her but not in the way of sex? He was playing her and she couldn't see that. I don't feel any sympathy for them. You get what you pay for.
SmileFace Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I ask myself this question all the time. Well about males. However I think guys and gals in this age group just suck. The flackiness from the guys my age is bonkers. Plus I am guessing the girls can't be much better.
Author ls32ssibm Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Music festivals, bars, and parties. Not into party girls or bars, and every girl I would see at a music event is with a guy.
William. Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I guess you can't be too eager about this cause i mean it just happens or it doesn't, maybe you're not a believer in fate but i suppose the only way to meet people and let them know you exist is via outings and collage clubs cause i mean.. picking up girls from bars is like picking up a slut
espec10001 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Not into party girls or bars, and every girl I would see at a music event is with a guy. Well, you're going to have trouble meeting girls at that age, because that's the party age.
miss_jaclynrae Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I'm 22. And I find it offensive the whole dating older men who are using us. 28 isn't even old. I date pretty much all ages but to say all men around the 30 age marker are merely using us "young" women is bull. 30 isnt even close to what is considered old.
StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Unfortunately for men in their early 20s, dating sucks dick compared to women for obvious reasons Just gotta do the best you can. Your female counterparts will have 50 times more options because they can date older men
USMCHokie Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Your female counterparts will have 50 times more options because they can date older men Then logic would dictate that you should wait it out and cash in when you're an older man...?

Likely young men your age feel like they are missing out on dating girls their own age. Personally, I meet so many girls my own age all over the place, so I can only assume it's a demographic issue. I have more trouble with girls my own age too (I'm 23), girls that like me are either late 20s and up, or late teens. The girl I slept with had literally just turned 20.
StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Then logic would dictate that you should wait it out and cash in when you're an older man...? If you want to be celibate in your 20s, then go ahead For me, I try to make the best out of a pretty bad situation. Dating in your early 20s as a man is awful

StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Don't exaggerate It's not "awful". Female 23 year olds are at the absolute top of the food chain. They can get any man they want Male 23 year olds are near the bottom, you can only date barely legal women

StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Near the bottom.... Keep telling yourself that, it won't get you very far. That's just being honest. I'm not sure who is lower on the food chain, older women or younger men but they're both near the bottom I'm not saying that you should give up, you can still date 18-22 year olds but it's better to live in reality than delusion

Don't read too much into what I said about girls my own age. I said I have more trouble dating them than women of an older age and/or 18-19 year olds. That doesn't mean I cannot date a girl in her early to mid 20s, nor does that mean it's particularly very difficult for many men of that age. Yes, a few are dating older guys......not all of them are.
StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Are you saying it's delusional to believe that a 23 year old man can date girls his own age? It's possible but women are incredibly weird about dating guys even 1 year younger than them Are you really disagreeing with me that dating is a million times easier as a 23 year old woman than a 23 year old man? 23 year old women can literally date ANYBODY, 23 year old men have to walk around and constantly try to find women below their age...which is hard as hell when you're done with school
threebyfate Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 So that you guys realize, in 2009 73.8% of high school graduate women went on to college. I wouldn't doubt that percentage has risen since. 1

It's no coincidence that areas with major university presence are teeming with women in their early 20's... 2
threebyfate Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 It's no coincidence that areas with major university presence are teeming with women in their early 20's...That's why these guys should be figuring out where they're hanging out during their down time and learning to mingle. 3
MrCastle Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 StillReigning--I think you just need to have a brighter outlook on all of this. If you keep an open mind and heart, and stay confident and optimistic, you will get your 23 year old. It will happen. 1
StillReigning Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 StillReigning--I think you just need to have a brighter outlook on all of this. If you keep an open mind and heart, and stay confident and optimistic, you will get your 23 year old. It will happen. I didn't once say I had a bad outlook The issue is that which is a better option - 23 year old man who has to specifically look for an 18-23 year old (which is extremely hard after college) or a 23 year old woman who can date guys in absolutely any age range? The answer is very obvious. Young men are at the bottom of the food chain. Women in their early 20s have a billion options because they can date older The dating food chain goes: Younger Women Older Men Older Women=Younger men (both have it pretty awful)
