stern727 Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I have known this guy for over ten years while I was married. I am divorced now and have been dating a bit. This guy and I accidently met at the bar 2 weeks ago and hit it off, we were telling each other that we have always liked each other and he finds me gorgeous and so on, lots of kissing and about 2 hours later I went home with a promise to see each other the next weekend. He texted me that he had to work the next weekend and can't see me. Its been 2 weeks and I don't no if I should call him or wait for him to call me. I think if he really wanted to date me he would call me. I do know a lot about him and his family (his sis is a bestfriend of mine) and know he dosent date much and he is a shy guy and that if he does date it is for a long term relationship. He also lives about a half hour north and dosent leave his town much, I don't mind driving to see him but I don't want to look desperate. Should I continue waiting for a call or should I call him?
8mia8 Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 If he really is shy, I would wait a couple days and call. Maybe have an activity in mind (I'm going to XYZ and thought I'd check to see if you're interested). Definitely don't drive there.
T Mata Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Stern, I would have to say that you are correct in your assumption that if he was actually interested he would have called after two weeks, or contacted you somehow no matter how "shy" he is. Especially since you two left off in such promising terms. Although I think your right, weigh your option. Giving him a quick text hello won't hurt much. If he doesn't reply or brushes the text off with no talk in regards to a date, then you know. Good luck, Tony Mata
