Morning all,

I started a thread a few days back - http://www.loveshack.org/forums/breaking-up-reconciliation-coping/breaks-breaking-up/337565-i-may-have-rushed-need

Essentially after what was a whirlwind two month romance, I have been kicked to the curb. Like many of you I have been searching for any crumbs of comfort, be it from her, or from you fine people. I feel awful right now, but all of that can be found in the previous thread. NC since Friday, its kicking my arse, massively.

Anyway, to give something back, here is my small offering, primarily I would expect this will be better suited for the chaps but the message may resonate with females as well, I'd be interested to know.

'Swingers', in my honest opinion, as therapeutic, realistic movies dealing with break-up's go, is the pinnacle of cathartic break-up movies. I suggest you all watch it. It's heart-breaking at times, even pitiful and hard to watch but offers answers to a lot of the questions we have coming out of relationships. Conversely, it is hilarious and helps to give perspective to how, in a few months, years or however long, you will look back and smile.

Anyway, this particular clip sums it all up. I implore you to watch it. Enjoy.

So true hey!.....yea the pain subsides...day by day, and yea i see the point, after time you kind of miss that pain, because we end up feeling empty, where as that pain kind of makes us feel human, knowing we have loved and lost!...

Indeed. Whilst I am very much in the infancy of this break up. I recall the last long term relationship that went south, when I started to miss the pain, waking up each morning not feeling as bad as the day before. It's bizarre. I knew that progress was being made.

I'm not even near that stage yet. But, clips like this help. This is a universal experience.

Great film.
