My 1st gf (of 1 month who crushed me) was from South America and she had an accent and was very pretty IMO. I went on a couple of dates in my late teens with a black girl I went to hs with, she was very popular and pretty. There was a group of black girls at this bar last night and 3 of them were pretty, 2 of those 3 were beautiful and one of them had me on cloud 9. I don't know if it's because it's a rarity (don't want to sound mean) but for some reason a really attracive black woman can put an attractive white woman to shame IMO. I might start hitting on the sisters! So how often do you see a white guy with a black girl in your area? This is geared to US posters but international ones are welcome too. 1
ThaWholigan Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Pretty common now in London, whereas before it was not. Lot of black girls are now interested in white guys as well, there is more interracial dating than ever. I do see a lot of white guys with black girlfriends.

I see a lot of white women with black men here in the US, but it's not as prominent to see the inverse. Black women friends told me that it's because they experience a familiar double standard. Men are allowed to see whoever they like, but when the black women date white men the men say they are betraying their race. It's a double standard, not right but it exists.

I just think it's more interesting to date other races. It's too common and predictable to see a black girl and a black guy together so I'm one of those ppl that are trying to mix it up:)

I was about to add the caveat that I don't see it often in Napa (where I live), but just remembered that less than three weeks ago, I struck up a conversation with a couple of tourists who were visiting Napa. She was black and lived in D.C. and he was white living in Sacramento - they were several years into a LDR and quite charming.

Oddly I haven't noticed this anywhere else I've visited. It seems to be unique to the DC area.. but I'm sure its going on in other areas. I live in beautiful Toronto where it's multicultural. I hate little town white people, their are so ignorant and close minded they think if u got any sort of pigment in ur skin ur automatically black. They just know black or white. Im mixed half coolie half white... This white girl thought I was black even tho I'm light as ****. I'd never raise my kids in those lil towns. Hate red necks.

I seen some couples in Philly and Jersey and the pastor's wife at my brother's chuch in Jersey is black. I'm starting to see it more down here in Texas, still RARE but more. I think I blew an opportunity to get a # from a sweet black girl at work a couple months ago at my job. I was thinking I had a shot but a guy picked her up and so I assumed it was her bf.

And yes I've certainly seen black women with white men as well, probably just as much as Ive seen black men with white women! I also mostly have dated white guys but I don't really consider them a different race

But I do live near an area that constantly promotes itself as multiple cultural, but you don't see a lot of mixed couple races there. My guess is people like to keep their traditional cultural practices and a lot of parents maybe are still traditional from my experience.

But they are all over at a club at night. I see black guys with white hoes everywhere. black women are usually by themselves....

There is a black girl/white guy couple with a daughter that's on my daughter's softball team. I live in a diverse area, and interracial dating of any combination isn't a big deal here.

It's a lot more couples then I expect to see. I think that kind of interracial pairing is growing. I dated a few men outside of my race before. I have no regrets, it was worthwhile:).
irin Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 i see it all the time in the uk, and have friends of afro-Caribbean heritage, one girl said to me, now its more common for them to date out, where as before, it was mostly their men preferring white women to them, so now they started doing it as well. something about being loyal to your own race.
