8th week post BU.

 

So far so good really. Taken all the advice the forums have to offer, concentrating on myself, improving my life, staying positive. Limited contact is fine, only exchanging the occasional text, and only to do with the children.

 

I've been feeling pretty good about myself and the situation...except for the last couple of days. Thoughts of her have started flooding my head and I've not felt this low since the initial break up. I'm guessing it's just a little relapse that will pass soon (I hope). Probably just having "one of those days" but man, they really suck when they come.

 

Finding it mentally exhausting to stay positive at the moment.

 

Thus endeth the venting. :)

Yes, many sympathies to you, feels bad doesn't it:(. I think there's others of us at that 8 week-ish mark at the moment and I feel the same, so I guess we're all in some kind of normal :( awful place.

 

I think we hope it gets easier sooner, or something, and it doesn't seem to. Seems to take its time.

I lost it too just about the 8 week mark. It might be because you havent taken the right amount of time to mourn. I'm not saying cry hysterically everyday but maybe once a week for like 20 mins allow yourself to feel the hurt and pain. That helped me.

I think you may be right Jose, I haven't really let it out for a few weeks now, honestly I haven't felt the need to until now. I think it's been in the back of my mind but it felt like a step backwards compared to how good I thought I was feeling.

 

I guess there's no real rulebook for this and what is or isn't "normal" in a break up. Hell, I'll give anything a try right now. Appreciate the advice. :)

 

Sorry you're going through the same thing Stanza, I hope it passes quickly for us both.

 

What we would do without these forums huh?
