Ladies - Should men raise their standards??

Just wanted to make a platform here, because what I saw was amusing and sad at the same time.

 

It's been posted on other threads before, but I draw your attention to these threads from another forum:

Now, lets set aside our feelings about the ladies in question who's photos have been stolen for these pics. Obviously they may very well be nice people who don't deserve to have their appearance mocked in the way that it is - but we're not going to focus on that.

 

It wasn't necessarily the looks of these girls, but the conversations, and the way the guys went along with it that made me chuckle......and then think really hard. This does nothing to stunt my optimism about dating - but then again, I have standards .

 

Do you think that sexually speaking, it's a better idea for men to have more control and restraint over their sexuality, at the event of such desperation and unadulterated thirst taking over in such a fashion?

Lowering standards, regardless of your gender, is the quickest path to a life of GIGS.

Maybe the guys who responded are BBW-lovers, in which case, their standards are perfectly set. They're not messaging the girls because they're desperate, but because that's what they actually like.

 

Or maybe the guys on the thread, since they were really just using the chat feature, were just using the "girl" on the other end of the dial-up as an automatic Sext generator, and imagining some other female on the other end.

 

Honestly, I don't think the thread proved anything, except that guys will use the Internet for sexy chat. Now, if they were actually arranging meetings with the girls in real life, we might have something, but it seemed like most of them just wanted a call-and-answer sort of fantasy scenario, not an actual "I am speaking to this larger woman' sex connection.

I just think that the way the guys conducted themselves even in the privacy of those chats got exposed and it was pretty grim . Even in the chats I've had that were of that nature, the minute it got weird I was outta there. I forgave the gangbang stuff that last time but that was actually pretty stupid on my part (even though she turned out to be legit).

Oh, yeah this is their common antics. I use to follow - even got to post a while before being shut down. The good thing about it be a lifting site - is the fact that I actually had proof of my weight lost - they were way nicer to me than some chicks that fount their way to the misc.

To be perfectly honest, I could see that woman rejecting me for my looks, and rather brutally.

I've been on OKCupid for about 6 months, and barely gotten any messages. So when I see threads like that, I am completely blown away. Maybe because it was written by a man, so he knows what men are looking for? (Sexting!)

 

Anyway, on the rare occasion I DO get messages, they are from guys who are completely outside my age range... always younger though, which is weird. I'm 27, and yet the guys who message me are always 21-24. The last one who messaged me was 23 years old, and probably moving (as he was finishing up grad.) I can only imagine the guys are messaging me in hopes of getting an easy lay/some sexting fun, or because they're spamming absolutely everybody on the site.
