jakelongot Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I don't know why Holllywood people get married so young. At 19 and 22 respectively, it obviously isn't going to last more than 6-12 months. Has anyone in their life talked to them about how marriage works? You are so different from 16-18 than you are from 19-22, 22-28 and 28 on... Plus if I was as hot as either of them, I would be using this time to get laid as much as possible. They can have any guy/girl they want. Why waste time with one. Even if this did last, you would look back in 20 years and say, "Damn! I missed a big opportunity to get a lot of ass." THoughts?
Author jakelongot Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 I also thought it was funny that "the move that made her fall for him" was when he held the door for her! Really? Is that really THAT rare? I literally hold the door for everyone (guy or girl) when I enter/exit a building. It is just common curtousy.

Just because you have the opportunity to engage in certain behavior does not mean you should feel compelled to do so. Besides, what is the value of "lot of ass"?
eleanorhurting Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 my sister is getting married and she is also young (they will both be 23 when they get married) and I think its great even though lots of people are hating on them. Yes you change from your 20s to your late 20s, but don't you change also from your late 20s to your 30s? or from your 30s to your 40s? I think people change all through life and what is important is to be serious and committed, at whatever age it may happen. Maybe I am young but I don't feel like I am anywhere near done growing in life and I hope that when I get married that person and I will grow together and pursue or goals together. Congratulations to them.

irin Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 who cares? she went from the "good little girl" milking every bit of cash from kids everywhere, to trying to be "bad" or so called grown up"
LoveAshley Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Ugh. Miley tries to act grown up but she is still very much a child. Celebrities should never marry, especially with her level of fame. She is just walking into the sea of being a divorced single mother.
USMCHokie Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 who cares? she went from the "good little girl" milking every bit of cash from kids everywhere, to trying to be "bad" or so called grown up" So she can milk every bit of cash from horny dudes...
OhHey Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I thought it was going to say her and Liam Neeson are together.....whew I almost gave a *****s

d'Arthez Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 you said so yourself that his career is about to take off. She has good taste picking an Aussie Already in "saving marriage mode"? 1
Pyro Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 So she can milk every bit of cash from horny dudes... Dust better be on the look out.
USMCHokie Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Dust better be on the look out. All she needs is to rub his hairy chest once and it's game over for ol' Liam... 1
eleanorhurting Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Dust better be on the look out. where is he by the way?
Pyro Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 where is he by the way? Florida I'd imagine. He was given his pink slip from here a few months back.
RiverRunning Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 ...22-year-old guys actually propose? *Gasp* Maybe it's the cynic at me, but honestly I'm shocked. I figured the usual modus operandi for young guys is to dump a woman as soon as she's talking about a future. Hell has frozen over, though. Miley Cyrus got engaged before me. Oddly enough, that was ONE of my many markers in regards to relationships. "Miley Cyrus started dating her boyfriend long after I started dating mine. If she gets engaged to hers before I get engaged to mine..." OH MAN. Bad week. Very, very bad week for the River Running... 2
eleanorhurting Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 well, sorry for bringing it up again but my sisters boyfriend is proposing on friday and he's 22. I'm so excited I am sort of hijacking their wedding (like i am hijacking this thread) planning all the details. I already helped them pick out the venue. They are very laid back and are excited my mom and I are taking such active participation in their wedding planning (even though he has not officially proposed yet)
Cynthia Ni Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 yeah there was a rumor going around that Miley tweeted something that might have implied a weekend wedding... but i wasn't true, Hemsworth's rep denied the rumors More info here at this article: Miley Cryus' fiance Liam Hemsworth's rep denies weekend wedding rumors | TheCelebrityCafe.com
Disenchantedly Yours Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Miley Cyrus as an uniquely cool voice. It doesn't fit into the stereotype. I give her voice two thumbs up. I don't know who Liam Hemsworth is I can't say much about that. Maybe she should have married the kid from Twilight. Who was also in Water for Elephants. Hated Twilight but liked Water for Elephants.
BetheButterfly Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) I don't know why Holllywood people get married so young. My parents got married when they were both 18 years old. My grandparents, on my Mom's side, got married when they were both 16 years old. Neither couple regretted it. My Mamaw and Papaw (my Mom's parents) were married for almost 50 years before she died of cancer. If she had lived till July of that year, they would have had their 50th wedding anniversary, but she died in Feb. It was a really hard for all the family. My family is very close, and Mamaw was the "heart" on my Mom's side, though we believe her essence is still with us! The family is still close and we all still love her even though she is not here anymore. For some people, it is fine to get married relatively young. They want to, they love each other, and they make marriage work for them. For others, it is not fine. It really depends on the maturity level and shared goals of making promises to each other. I hope Miley and her fiance have a wonderful life together. I have no idea if they will make it or just become another Hollywood statistic, but I wish them the best, whatever they decide to do!!! Els Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Judging from the general longevity of Hollywood marriages, I doubt age makes a jot of a difference for them. Even if they lasted only 12 months, it'd be a lot longer than the majority of their colleagues'...
