mortensorchid Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I had posted about this before. Someone who I had connected with a week ago or so did not respond once he had asked me for my number. I gave it to him, did not hear from him. See this thread for more info: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/romantic/dating/328862-old-angry-about-results So today I was away from my phone all day and as I am usually a night owl, I did not check it until the wee hours. He sent a text saying "Hi this is (name) from (website). How are you?" He sent it around 10 in the morning but I guess I did not think to check my phone all day. Should I respond? I guess I have nothing to loose on this.
Emilia Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I think maybe it's good if you experiment a little on your own to see what works for you rather than ask us here on LS. Different strokes for different folks as they say

Mme. Chaucer Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 You are going to need to remove yourself from having an emotional reaction like anger about anything that happens in the early stages of OLD or you will have a very bad time of it. Sure, this guy has probably been exploring other options and may not have been on fire about you. It doesn't matter. You don't know him, and he doesn't know you. If you are interested enough to want to get to know him, meet him. But don't carry your (IMO, inappropriate) anger with you.
LittlePrince Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Too many women go into OLD super entitled, big Alaskan sized chip on their shoulder, huge ego, and when the first couple of dates don't work out they quickly lose interest and bail. They never really wanted to OLD and they end up not OLD'ing. Self fulfilling prophesy much? It is better to let her OLD enthusiasm to shortly peter out and for her to move on. There are already too many angry people on there.
