Hereiam007 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 My ex of two years ( on and off) just broke up with me to go to someone who she was sexting with. I heard that it is not best to enter a new relationship after breaking up with one immediately. Is this true? If so why? I think my ex has feelings for me and will come back. I don't know when though.
DuchessKaye Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I found my next, shortly after we've broken up Like, maybe after 5 minutes Kidding... It takes time sweetie. How long? Nobody knows. Only the future can tell...
CarrieT Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 In general, it is said that it takes half-as long as the relationship was to get over an Ex. Example: For a two-year relationship, you need at least a year to heal... My last relationship of 2 1/2 years took me a full two years to get over before I was ready to find another guy. But I had an 11-year relationship end and I was ready to date a year later. It varies for every person, but if you believe your Ex might come back to you - and you are hoping for that - you are not ready for another relationship.
Author Hereiam007 Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Thanks all I like the 5 minutes dutches. Thanks I did enjoy all posts. I am trying to move on but it seems like she still likes me. I feel it, but I won't contact her since she blocked my number.
DuchessKaye Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I won't contact her since she blocked my number. Sure, that's the best thing to do. Cut off all the communication with her. Harsh, but it's the only thing that works. Out of sight, out of mind. It might hurt at first but it will get better. Stop thinking that she'll get back to you. Stop rationalizing things, she's already an ex, an ex for a reason, even you don't know what the reason is. Just keep being on NC. Resist the temptation to contact her again. In time you can forget her. And by the time you are ready to love again, the new relationship will show up exactly the moment you least expect it. 1
