lino Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Do what ever other Kiwi seems to do: move to Australia for a few years then go on a tour of Europe. At least, the ones I bump into in London seem to be doing that (and meeting people along the way). Heaps of people from NZ here. They're good people in general IMO.
Author hiimgerman Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 I mean people are fast-acting when they see someone funny, interesting, smart, pretty, or whatever they like right? And if you are some or all of the above you would have been taken?? And given that I suck at meeting people that kind of leaves me no chance
Joaquin Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 If I'm honest the new zealand women I have come across wouldn't be my cup of tea. They seem to lack femininity and aren't particularly attractive. They are quite sturdy. Like they are genetically engineered for farm work.

Hah, yeah, it was when I first moved there that I fully understood the difference between genuine 'fit', and 'fit' as people like to call the media waifs. Many NZ women, especially those who were actually raised on farms, are incredibly fit - too sturdy, as you said. Edited May 27, 2012 by a LoveShack.org Moderator on-topic

I like paying basketball with friends, going to the movies, having some musical get-together, and shopping Oh yeah most kiwi girls have horrible fashion taste
Els Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Try and meet some new circles of friends to go to movies, shop, and jam with? My observation has been that both Kiwi men and women are pretty similar in terms of fashion.
FitChick Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Hmmm, maybe I should check out a NZ dating website -- is there such a thing? Sounds like I'd have very little competition. Of course, it makes me wonder what the men are like. Maybe a British expat in NZ would be a nice compromise.

Citizen Erased Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Has anyone made an obligatory sheep-boinking joke yet? Why can't Kiwi blokes take their girlfriends to the Rugby? They eat all the grass! ......... Yeah not the best kiwi sheep ****ing joke but it was the first one I remembered. 2

Million.to.1 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 YaY! a Thread about NZ! OP... watch what you say... not all kiwi girls have bad fashion sense. And there are heap of people in AK.... but i do sympathize a little. Seems everyone in certain circles knows everyone. It's pretty hard to meet people who are into the the kind of things you are without having a "oh do you know blab bla ... or must work with bla bla.... It's small and sometimes extremely incestuous!
Million.to.1 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I lived in small communities on my own and that can be lonely. The answer is to move somewhere bigger. I think that is terrible advice. If you lived here, you wouldn't want to move just for that reason. Moving to another country, away from everyone you know and all your work networks and family and friends would be even more lonely. I have lived overseas too, and nothing is better than coming home to the beauty of this place.

On a postive note though: New Zealander women top world sex survey 1
Million.to.1 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 ^^^^ Rough! Sturdy? ... I suppose we are talking in general terms.

THANKS!! But I'm sorry if you've been to California or NY you'll find kiwis rather unfashionable =(
sb129 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 THANKS!! But I'm sorry if you've been to California or NY you'll find kiwis rather unfashionable =( When were you last here? Every country has people that bring the tone down by wearing sweats and t shirts everywhere. Been to NY, lived in London. Held my own in the fashion stakes. Fashion is so universal/ global now- people wear the same things everywhere.

Trust me it's so not and people don't wear the same things!!!!! People in Asian countries tend to wear more feminine stuff and hair styles. European guys and girls here in Auckland wear something more plain. Quite often I see girls wear some funny jandals that make them look like Spartan soldiers. I was in NY in Feb and people dress much more nicely! But I guess it's 'cause good clothes are so damn expensive in NZ compared to in USA
Million.to.1 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 THANKS!! But I'm sorry if you've been to California or NY you'll find kiwis rather unfashionable =( I've been to both. I understand what you are saying... but we are not all like that. I'm not fashionable, but I am super stylish. You can't buy style. 1

sb129 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I was in NY in Feb and people dress much more nicely! But I guess it's 'cause good clothes are so damn expensive in NZ compared to in USA That is true. I spend a small fortune on clothes. I just hate being lumped into a general "-all NZ women are...." Many women here are attractive and stylish. Many aren't. It's a small country, of course a city as huge and style conscious as NYC is probably going to have more fashionistas than we have people. Unfair comparison. 1
Million.to.1 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Hello fellow stylie kiwi woman! I do sometimes have uncontrollable urges to bash woman who can't walk in heals around the head with my chuck taylors.
