paperboy48 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Is it a deterrent for you if the person you are interested in has two young kids? Also, which is worse for those who believe it is a detterrent. Is it worse for a man to have 2 young-children (50% pf the time) or is it worse for a woman to have 2 young children (50% of the time)?
Balzac Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Career commitment matters, travel schedule, on call, many variables. A backup parent to a high commitment is often on call. I say it's less gender than othe factors. Added concern would be additional children.
Oxy Moronovich Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Wouldn't it just be easier for single parents if they tried to get with those with kids, rather trying to get with those without kids? I'm a guy without kids. I don't want a single mom.

I'm a guy without kids. I don't want a single mom. I dont think it makes any difference if its the father or the mother in your sitaution, but you will be number 3 in the priority of their life. (probably more so with the mothers I tend to think) I did say it doesnt make any differnce my viewpoint, but in reality I find women are more accepting of single fathers than guys are of single mothers. The naturing nature + being responsible aspect will be seen as positives by plenty of women, especially if the guy also has a decent career. Oxy - I agree with your logic, though I find quite a few single parents dont want to complicate things for their kids by throwing another person + their kids into the mix. Also with a few single fathers I know, they dont want to date single moms, and compete with the single guys for the same women. They say, how they already have kids and dont need anymore in their life and dont want to get involved in a relationship where they have to deal with another guy (her ex). (I know hypocritical)
