I searched this in the web and there were many articles which say it's true, at least for the USA.

Women are just more and more masculine.

The question is, since women will start looking and acting like men, beauty will no longer matter. There will be no femininity. And no sexual attraction because later on, just like current female butch muscled athletes, women will lose female fat and curves so we will all end up looking like men.

So i don't know how attraction and dating will work. And I'm talking about 20 to 30 years into the future. these changes will take place.

There will only be Masculine women in the world.

Well, Cerri has a more glorious beard that I could ever dream of growing...so yes, she must be proof that all women will be more masculine than men. Or at least more masculine than me.

Does it really matter? They're all lesbians or harboring secret lesbian fantasies anyway because lesbian sex is the best you can ever get, right? ;)

Are you kidding?

No amount of cussing, playing rugby or chatting up men will eliminate feminine curves and breasts.

Women go crazy with make-up, jewellery, fashion and hair products.

If you think women look more masculine without making all this effort, that should show you that a lot of so called femininity is a construct.

Strangely enough, all the men in my extended family are the ones who cook...is that really a sign of femininity?

Just using the old meme. As far as cooking, it's a necessity in life for men and women. But the expectation of cooking being a component of femininity is ridiculous so that's why I used it in a gender spin.

Then I will happily make you your sammich. Grilled Reuben?

I have no passion for cooking. I know more males that like it than females.

Men are better at cooking and grilling. It's been proven. I'm better at it without even practicing.

But what's this cooking thing about. I wasn't even talking about cooking

I agreeeeee...I love it when my guy friends cook for me.:D An ex of mine never even let me go into the kitchen for cooking, he was so picky and did all of it, PERFECT. I think men love food more than women and that's why they are more passionate about getting it all right.

 I am a chef extraodinaire when I am ready :D

My mother has been cooking for me for years, yet I always look forward to my dads food when I am staying with him :D. I think it was equal between the genders, but nowadays I meet so many girls who don't cook. Only 2 guys I know don't cook. I remember my old crush cooked for me on my birthday, it was the only time I actually knew a girl who cooked who wasn't older than 27

 Hopefully you are learning from your dad to be a good cook. Remember, the way to a woman's heart is through her stomach (and vagina, of course) lol

My dad is a nutrition guru these days, I'd be a fool not to learn from him. He's always telling me to be a "scientist" when it comes to food. I can pretty much make most things except meat-based dishes (I'm pescetarian since a baby so on a fish based diet).

Your dad is a smart man! I love people who understand nutrition.

Now to go on topic, this thread has got to be one of the most stupid threads recently made on LS. Women are losing their fat? What are you talking about?

It's not just women becoming more masculine. It's men becoming more feminine.

Gender identity is a very interesting topic. It also depends a lot on what you consider "feminine" and "masculine". I think masculine men can still cook really awesome meals or be great with kids. I think feminine women can still run boardrooms and ride tractors. If we are talking about stereotypical jobs and gender identity, then men and women have had a melting of experiences that are less defined then they where 40 years ago. However, if you are talking about what men and women want out of relationship only, I think you will find that most heterosexual couples still like gender identity and the ying and yang of masculine and feminine.

By the way, I learned something knew about the ying and yang. We all know it's shape. Apparently a man wears all his yang on the outside, his soul is feminine. A woman were all their softness on the outside, but our souls are masculine. Hence the bent teardrop shape with the circle in the middle in tandem with the other bent teardrop shape and the little circle in the middle

Ying and Yang

I never knew what the circle in the middle of it ment. I just thought it was part of it's design, didn't realize it meant something.

My interpretation is that every man and woman has masculine and feminine energy within them. Hence why some men are more feminine and some women are more masculine.

Yin and Yang were born from the Great WuJi...

The Wuji is known as the empty-fullness... it is all and nothing.... it's generally drawn as a perfect circle, with a single sweep of the brush, and calligraphists work for a lifetime to perfect the painting of this perfect circle, and it's a meditative practice....

the wuji is not a closed circle because what is outside its line, is as important as what is within... it takes both spaces to show it.... so everything you ever need, is within (empty) yet also outside of it (full).... it has no limitations, rather, it denotes the universe and everything that makes it....

Yin and yang are also in a circle, but forever in a state of movement, swimming around effortlessly yet constantly moving, like two koi carp....

they never stop acting and interacting, closely drawn together but always separate, the yin containing a part of yang, and the yang containing a part of yin...nothing is ever completely one or the other, but even if they are as they are, they constantly change....

I never cease to be fascinated by the simple depth of the subject....

The "traditional" forms of femininity and masculinity are nothing more than social constructs. Don't confuse them with biological genders.

You said traditional, so you may not disagree with what I'm about to say.

The difference in the levels of testosterone in men and women does cause very natural, very real differences in the behaviours of the genders. Not to mention the small physical differences between the male and female brain.
