tell me I made the right decision

I broke up with my ex a while ago and after some unusual circumstances things were just....complicated.

I posted my little situation a couple months ago and after that we decided to just be friends but I thought back to the way he treated me and decided that I didn't want to even be friends or keep in touch with someone that was so eager to push me out of his life and had no respect for me (one quick story: after we broke up he invited me to Christmas at his parents' house. I was slaving away taking care of his parents and he was lying on the couch texting one of the girls he was dating...seriously.).

 

Last week I was back in town and his friends were messaging me telling me how much they missed me and that we should hang out/get dinner and his mom got in touch with me too. I also met my ex at work and he says things like "I still stalk your facebook" and "You better not be dating anyone." When I asked him if he was dating anyone he replied "I'm just having fun."

 

Seriously? After a lot of thinking, I decided I didn't want to have someone that had no respect for me in my life and I unfriended him on fb and when he asked me why I told him the exact reason. Afterwards he didn't reply.

 

I know I was probably being dramatic but I had to kick him out of my life, even the random text.

 

But, I want to know from a guy's perspective. Will he miss me and some day really feel bad for the way he treated me?

 

Why do breakups have to be so difficult and heart wrenching.....sigh

If you are going NC, then chances are, if he cared about you at all, and from what you put , it seems he still does, then yes he will miss you and maybe will feel sorry for the way he treated you.

 

Is this why you are going NC thou? Because if it is, its wrong.

NC is an aid to help you mend. Not make the other person feel bad. Its to make YOU feel better.
