fuzzletonic Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 hi guys i want to know..example theres this person whos really nice to you. yes youve had fights but nothing too bad. but, everyone else tells you this person is an *******, a douchebag. when you mention their name casually his peers would say "hes a prick, an *******, dont u know?" and like among his peers, ive heard him talk to them in a way that doesnt seem like him. would it be safe to assume thats what he really is?
thatone Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 pretty much. why would multiple people go out of their way to make someone look bad if they were not in fact bad?
misssmartypants Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I would not be comfortable if the person were one way with me and seemed like another way with others. He's probably on his very best behavior with you now but that will probably change when he feels like you are "his"
misssmartypants Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Right, but there's a difference between shy seeming stuck up and a guy or gal who's prince charming/(male version of prince charming) when they are with the person they just started dating and a raving asshat or b!tchzilla with everyone else.
Nexus One Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 It's better to make up your own mind about someone, you never know the motives of others when they something negative about someone else. If they are genuine, then it's still possible they only got snapshot of that person from a short moment in time, which might skew their opinion about someone.

So her friends, family and his friends and peers are all conspiring againt her because they have it in for him and her? With all these people that have it in for her and this guy, him being a douche is the least of her problems. How is life on the planet that you live on? Because in the real world... When friends, family, his friends and peers tell you that the person you are dating is a douche... They are in fact, a douche! She only mentioned his peers. And poster above you is right. If OP is an attractive girl, they can totally talk smack about competitors, because they have hots for her.
