purplehouse Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Hi i'll try make this short.... Was working at a supermarket between november 2008 and July 2010. I always thought my manager there was cute and nice ( he is 2 years older than me) although other than catching eachother looking a few times nothing happened (he was going through a rough breakup that everyone was aware about and i was casually dating someone) Anyway i left there a year ago and always thought it was a shame i never got to know him a little. Then funnily enough i saw him in town a week ago although he didn't see me. Then 2 days later i saw him at a supermarket (my local one) and turns out he now is working there permanently after he took a transfer from the origional store we used to work in. He saw me and I saw him. He looked, i looked away, i looked again then he walked all the way around the store until we finally met up and then we both said Hi and smiled and he asked how i was. My heart was racing as i do find him really attractive and it reminded me of when we used to work together and catch each other looking and i got the vibe he was feeling a bit the same. So anyway. i am a member of a dating site and was breifly chatting to a guy but wasn't sure if i was interested at this stage. I did another search and guess who pops up?? I couldn't believe it! This guy who i had run into twice in the last 4 days... So i thought i'd send him one of those 'kisses',, just a friendly one that says "i think you have a great profile!" And he replied with "I'm interested and look forward to hearing from you" we ended up emailing back and forward until 10pm. We have heaps in common and he admitted he finds me attractive (Not in those exact words...) He's always be a shyish guy though...so i don't know what to do next... any thoughts??? Just to add he is a very genuine guy, not a player at all. He is confident but quiet....a tad shy even. But from everything i know about him he is a decent guy

thatone Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) ask him why he hasn't asked you out yet. tell him if he doesn't ask you out you can't just blurt out yes out of the blue. tell him you're really getting bored of that other guy who is messaging you and you wish someone else would ask you out instead...hint. make it obvious, but leave the initiative on him, he needs to take it. I have no problem asking him out for a coffee but i'm worried i'll come across as desperate or pushy if i do it now... Is he waiting for me to ask him? this is odd because usually the guy asks me....lol. Like i said i don't mind taking a risk but i don't want to ruin any chance by seeming too eager because i know it can turn guys off. Our convo was so positive and ended on a nice note and at the time i had butterflies but now i am just wondering if maybe he was being nice??? Ugh i hate this. I can never tell.
