singlelife Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 So I am working on this new girl. She is coming around and now out of the woodworks 4 other chicks are just throwing it at me. I like it but what are the other girls thinking?
Surrealist Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 The truth is (to at least some extent) that women are more in competition with other women.
USMCHokie Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 ...but what are the other girls thinking? "I am better than all the others girls and I'll prove it through you."
Left in a Lurch Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Yeah it's competition. Happening to me right now. 2 girls I hang out with are hitting on me hard and they know I was seeing someone and have turned them down for now. Both are basically coming out and saying I won't find anyone better then them and both know about each other. I am showing very little interest and they seem to get more amped up. Funny part is they didn't show much interest until I started dating the other person. I think because I knew them before when I was available they figured I wasn't a challenge then.
Mad Max Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Social proof. Women want men that are desired by other women. The women throwing themselves at you would disappear once the others stopped. Avoid such women.
musemaj11 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Girls like guys who are surrounded by girls because that is telling them those guys have already been preselected.
utterer of lies Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 It's an old and very basic behavior. If you don't have any specific information, it's usually a good idea to trust the choice others in your social group have made. Herd instinct.
