I wanted to know do you guys date people you are not attracted to just to be doing something or because you haven't met someone you like?

I was doing that for a while cause I got out of a relationship and I wanted to hang out with someone for company. not sexual with them. I'm now ggetting to the point of wanting to date guys who I think I like. I wonder how other females handle dating. sometimes it takes a long time to meet a man you like. what do u think?

Nope, I have friends for that.

I only date people I'm interested in unless we've already both decided there's "nothing there" and are hanging out platonically. Which doesn't happen often. If a guy is on a dating Web site, I assume he's there to find someone to date or enter into a relationship with, not hang out with (unless he specifically says so).

No. I'm an introvert and find interacting with strangers to be draining. I'll only bother to get past the awkward getting-to-know-you stage if I REALLY like them or we happen to get along so well that we feel like old friends anyway.

so let's say you go to the gym and some guy approaches you. he wants your number cause he wants to take u out. at first glance, he looks okay so u say yes. you go out on the date. after the date u discover that u don't like him. after that u just tell him right?

^^Yep. To do anything else would be stringing him along.

I hate the whole dating process so I'd rather stay home than go on a bad date. I'm not one of those "well at least it was nice conversation and good meal". Nope. I can have that with my daughter and a pint of Ben & Jerry's!

Yeah, I find that I honestly feel WORSE when I come home from a bad date or a date where there just wasn't any "click" than I do when I stay home and do whatever I want.
