We had drinks and laughed and smooched a little Im going out of town this weekend, but we made tentative plans to get together when I get back. Although he asked me to call, and I THINK he's diggin me... I havent heard from him... Up until this point, Ive initiated the majority of first contact, so I kinda wanted to take a back seat this time, and Im not gonna lie, Im a little put off that I havent heard anything from him. Is it strange to expect some sort of post first date follow up?

lizzy22w Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 What I have always heard is to always let the guy call first (after the first date), and that if the guy does not call or text in 4 days...then move on. A guy can only be so busy. If he is really interested, then you would pop up in his mind at LEAST once in that time period, and pick up the phone to call. But he most likely will call once you get back, since you two already made plans. Good luck!~

I've found guys that were interested in me, usually contacted me the next day, or at least by the 2 day after our first meeting or date. The ones that didn't or took longer, usually were dating other women.
