Labster12 Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Well a few days ago I decided to give it a go, to get rid of my pride and engage in the world of online dating, not for dating purposes but for the forums, yes the OkCupid forums. I wanted to join the site to see why on their "chart" they ranked Indian men as being the least desirable out there. Before I hooked up with my now girlfriend I was a bit discouraged when the OkCupid study came out saying Indian men are the least desired and it was a question that was bugging me, days ago I decided to make an account, put my pic up and make a profile. So far I have received messages from like 6 women in my area so far, 4 of them being White brunettes, 1 being a Blonde White girl and 1 being a Redhead. No Latinas, Asian girls or Black girls or even Indian girls but I have to admit, some of those White brunettes were pretty hot (2 out of 4, the other two were very fat) and the redhead was pretty hot. The messages I received ranged from talking about how much the girl loves Hispanic men (I am Indian but get mistaken for Hispanic a lot) and one message talked about Indian food and Bollywood. Obviously Indian men aren't that hated but then I got to the bottom of the whole why Indian men are least desired mystery. Apparently the girls there receive A LOT of perverted messages from men sitting in India and New Delhi talking about how they want to visit them in America and how they want to screw them O_O! Seems to be common throughout the site. I never knew that to be the case, I just assumed the whole site is anti-Indian since that article came out. Anyways, I kinda may need to cancel my account now since I have a girlfriend and I don't want her thinking I have been cheating on her, I didn't reply to any of the messages yet. I wish I would have joined OkCupid earlier.... but then again I probably would not have hooked up with my now girlfriend... but still, would have done so much for my insecurities

Deleting removes the profile entirely, while deactivating the profile saves the profile and simply hides it from public view. You can always reactivate a deactivated account, but you cannot bring one back from the dead.

Maybe if I lived in a more homogeneous state like Nebraska there would be more girls who would be interested in having a 'taste' of me or something. Haha. Well, you have posted about needing an operation on your face. Not so long ago we accepted that a percentage of the population was ugly, and they fit in just fine. No discrimination against them. Another thing, I plan on marrying the girl I am with if things go well for us in the long run. Look at Sanjay Gupta and Sendhil Ramamurthy, both married to White women.
