Tell me what you think of it, eh?

A few things you may need to know about us as you read it: I'm 18 and he's almost 17. Both of us are very mature, intelligent and affectionate. We're peaceful people- never had an argument, even before we started dating (we were friends for years). He has a corny sense of humor and he loves country music (I'm a rock fan myself). I'm very shy, he is sometimes shy in a cute, nervous way. "I love you" has been established. He told me he loves me about 5 months ago.

Well, if you're still reading, tell me what you think of it.

Dear ___,

I've been known to be short of words- you know this quite well by now. But as I wrote this, I struggled with trying to "summarize" everything that I wanted to say.

When we first started going out, my friends and family noticed a difference in my demeanor. I'd come home from school and my mom would say, "You're smiling a lot, you must have had a good day." My friends would ask how you're doing, and I'd blush, grinning like an idiot as we talked. Well, nothing much has changed. I still do all of this.

When I'm with you, it's like my world is in perfect harmony. I could get lost in your eyes. You're an all-around amazing guy- intelligent, sweet, funny, adorable... the list goes on.

Okay, so your taste in music is a bit different from what I'm used to. It's no secret that I wasn't a fan of it. Quick story- I woke up one night from a nightmare. It was like something out of a horror movie (it actually had some elements of a Haunting in Connecticut), and I was in that state of holy-crap-every-shadow-on-my-wall-is-out-to-kill-me, that post-nightmare terror. Instead of turning on the light, I flipped open my laptop, went to Youtube... and listened to (his favorite band) and (another one of his favorites) for a good half an hour as I calmed down. Yeah, that's one point for the dark si- er, the country side.

Yeah, I've slowly (and a little painfully) developed a soft spot for country music, as it reminds me of you.

But I still draw the line at Lady GaGa- she's catchy, but so, so creepy.

All joking (I'm only half joking) aside, I just feel so blessed to have you in my life. Happy one-year anniversary. I love you.

Love,

____

Why are you posting this? :>/ It strikes me as a much less heartfelt and intimate gesture with you airing it for public approval, first.

Eh, I kinda agree now that you mention it... but I can't delete it -_-. The thread editor button won't let me.

It's kind of cute. Just say what's in your heart. I'm sure he'll love it.

I'd delete the first paragraph completely, you're preaching to the choir (i.e., telling him something he already knows), but the rest of it is really sweet
