antistar Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Hey all, Hope everyone is doing well So there's this guy I met through a friend during a vacation I had taken back in mid-August of this year (the city is a 5 hour drive away). We hit it off pretty well, exchanged contact information and he came on really strong initially. Before I knew it, he started calling me at least once a week, texted each other every single day (good mornings, good evenings), calling each other 'babe', saying we miss each other, etc. etc. He even asked if he wanted me to join him for a European trip he had recently taken. Since there is quite a distance between us, I didn't want to ask right away as to what exactly was going on. But I finally mustered up the courage to ask a couple of days ago because the texting/calling back and forth has been going on for a while now, given the long-distance situation. There is definitel the mutual interest and we both agreed that as complicated as the situation is, we both feel great when we contact each other and should revisit the situation later on. I haven't heard from him since. I find it EXTREMELY frustrating when I open up to someone like this, only to find myself feeling defeated. What exactly happened here? Did he finally realize that there is really no end in sight with our situation? Did he finally come to admit to himself that this was all just a run-around game he had been subjecting me to? Has anyone else experienced something similar? Please share! Thx.

Author antistar Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Has he heard from you since that conversation? The phone works both ways. Yes, I did. I texted him last night just to see how his day was and the usual 'good night/sweet dreams'. No response...BUT I just found out that my phone was suspended this morning because I completely forgot to pay my bill (OOPS!). So he may have been trying to contact me in between...which totally makes things awkward for me. Another text (just to explain that my phone was disconnected) would make me seem completely pushy/needy/desperate. What do I do now? Haha...EPIC MESS!
