Lovely30 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I went out with this guy this week, we had a good time, we were both obviously attracted to each other... we kissed for a while, it was very nice, but I didn't want it to go too far on the first date, so I told him that we could repeat that some other time for sure, he was absolutely fine with it. And he even said I should come along one time on his car race on the track. When I left and drove home with the cab, he called me and said that's his number to save it, because he just had my no., I didn't have his yet. So now 5 days passed and I am so confused and actually gave it up. I got so pissed before that I wanted to take charge of the situation and made the big mistake to write him a text message, asking how he's doing. I am really regreting that now, because he is not writing back. It's pretty pretty obvious by now that he's not gonna answer me anymore... but can anybody tell me, what the f*** went wrong ?? Is a guy who is really not intrested at all giving you his number "afterwards" ?? I really really don't get it, and would like to know what's going on up there in men's minds if they are not calling after an obvious great date !! Thx for answering, both males and femals !
USMCHokie Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Ah, there are so many reasons why he didn't call...maybe he's married...maybe he met someone new who he'd rather date...maybe he was just looking for quick sex...maybe he realized he was gay...maybe he died...the reasons are endless, but in the end, it doesn't matter...he just wasn't interested enough to continue dating you...don't take it personally and don't worry too much about it...a lot of first dates don't go much further than that... Sometimes even a great date isn't enough to keep up someone's interest...

That sucks! That's why sometimes it's good to go into a first date with very little expectation, that way, you're not crushed if it doesn't pan out. That's what I try to do. It sounds like he was interested by the end of the date, but, something prevented him from contacting you again. What that is, there could be a million and one reasons. Maybe you'll hear from him, maybe you won't. Best to kind of just try to put it in the back of your head, and treat it as such.
Author Lovely30 Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Well.... he just texted me he's fine, what about me ?? I don't even think I should text him back, because he has obviously no interest, otherwise he would have called me a few days ago, right ? I feel like he just wrote this text to be polite ! There is no effort from his side, he didn't do anything !!

bac Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Men, who do multidating, have troubles to keep up with all women. They focus on the easiest woman at the moment. When they have windows between girls, they contact other girls in case they would have time to take care for them.
Author Lovely30 Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 He asked me out and set the date. No, i mean that I just feel stupid now that I wrote him a text, because he doesn't seem interested at all, but nothing came from him after the date and frankly I don't even think he would have contacted me at all if I wouldnt have written this text now - what leads me to the conclusion that he's just not that into me ! Wow ! What do you think ?

Wow ! What do you think ? Well try not to feel stupid. It was one date, a bit too early for me to make a fair assessment in what this guy may/may not be thinking. Maybe you would have felt better, had he said "I will call you later in the week" versus leaving it open? That generally makes me feel better when I hear that. But, I see your point in that he didn't make a point to contact you, until he was prompted by your text.

Well thx, I am trying I am very emanzipated and I like to be in charge of situations, I don't even like this "3-days rule" which this guy didn't do at all... Frankly, I am not even looking for a serious relationship, I just wanna date and have fun and that's it. So this is not terrible for me... but I am taking it personal, because I think I am pretty cool and cute chick, so I am asking myself, uhm hello you know ? But I am still a typical girl who is analyzing everything and can't let it go and don't get it now why he wrote a text back at all if he is not interested, he could have just ignored it, which makes me even more confused now ...

I don't know what the 3-day rule is, is that like the 3rd date rule?
