CLC2008 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 So my date went really well last night. He took me too a nice little restaurant alongside the water in a town that is close to NYC. We had frozen mai thai's which were really good, they tasted like an Orange Julius. Very refreshing! I wore a cute little baby doll dress, the weather was pretty nice for it. He was very sweet and has a fun personality, and very handsome. The one thing that I found strange is when he went to take out his wallet to pay for dinner, a photo of his dog fell out, and I thought it was kind of weird that he carries a picture around of his dog. He walked me to my car, grabbed my hands gently and gave me a sweet and short soft kiss on the lips. So it went very well and he said he would call me later in the week. Fingers crossed, if things go well, we can be Jasmine and Aladdin for Halloween.
New Again Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Sounds like a great date...and he sounds confident.
Author CLC2008 Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Sounds like a great date...and he sounds confident. Thanks. Yes, he did seem confident, but not arrogant confident. For me, looking back on the relationships that worked, I definitely do better with the less passive types. I need that sense of stability because underneath, I am quite sensitive and emotional so I need someone who can offset that and bring me out of my shell. But, it was only our first date, but the overall impression was good.
Feelin Frisky Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 It's in the axe murderer's handbook to always carry a picture of a dog. Just kidding. Congrats. Hope it turns out well for ya.
LisaLee Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Is this the cute new neighbor or someone else? Glad your date went well! It's always refreshing to hear positive things on this Dating Forum.
USMCHokie Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hooray! He sounds like a winner so far, hope it works out for you!
alexlakeman Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Congrats. No complaints bc no making out? Kiss on lips was ok then.

Oh no axe murders please, don't put thoughts into my head, lol. And thanks! Neighbor guy hasn't been around, I gave up. Maybe things will change in the future who knows. At least its positive for now, hope it will stay that way teehee. Johan you're still my favorite robot with the peace sign. :-)
witabix Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 How can you be sure it was a picture of his dog? He may be cheating with someone else's dog! I'd check his emails/phone for mails/texts, maybe even install a keydogger on his laptop, you can never be too sure. Make sure you keep him on a short leash. Even if he's only been seeing someone else's dog for six months thats like three and half years to the dog. Don't get involved in a menagerie a trois! But apart from my surreal, lack of sleep induced hallucintions that sounds cool.
Veronica K Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 ...Fingers crossed, if things go well, we can be Jasmine and Aladdin for Halloween. *crosses fingers* I really like that he seems confident, but not arrogant. Good to hear the date went well!

Yeah the picture thing kind of threw me for a loop, but maybe he planned it and was just trying to be silly. *crosses fingers* I really like that he seems confident, but not arrogant. Good to hear the date went well! Me too! Thanks VK!
sanskrit Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Better a dog than an ex, current wife or kids he somehow hadn't mentioned. At least you know he is responsible enough to care for a pet.

LOL, all she can tell really is that he has a picture of a dog in his wallet. Maybe he works for the equivalent of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The whole picture of a dog in your wallet has really caught my imagination. I honestly find it strange.

Yeah, it caught mine too. As long as he doesn't have some weird perverted animal fetish . I'll ask him next time I see him, I didn't really say anything when I saw it, I was just like "oh wow, that's your pup, how cute".
tigressA Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Yay, CLC! He sounds good so far. Keep us (well, me at least ) updated!

Green Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 So my date went really well last night. I'll be the judge of that! He took me too a nice little restaurant alongside the water in a town that is close to NYC. We had frozen mai thai's which were really good' date=' they tasted like an Orange Julius. Very refreshing! [/quote'] Well he seems cool so far he got you to Drink I wore a cute little baby doll dress' date=' the weather was pretty nice for it. [/quote'] I had to look this up. I don't think I like that style of dress. Although a dress is a dress and it gave him a good oportunity to put a hand on ur thigh. He was very sweet and has a fun personality' date=' and very handsome. The one thing that I found strange is when he went to take out his wallet to pay for dinner, a photo of his dog fell out, and I thought it was kind of weird that he carries a picture around of his dog. [/quote'] I have no comment to any of this. He walked me to my car' date=' grabbed my hands gently and gave me a sweet and short soft kiss on the lips. So it went very well and he said he would call me later in the week.[/quote'] That a boy he went for the all important LIP KISS. Fingers crossed' date=' if things go well, we can be Jasmine and Aladdin for Halloween. [/quote'] Why don't you just go as Sailor moon and ask him to be tuxedo mask while you're at it. So how do you plan on slutting up ur Jasmine outfint? I'm jealous of this guy. Well dude do you live in the New York area... because thats where she had her date... and my guess is she met this guy on the internet so if you're not just joking and really are jealous why don't you private message her and do something about it.
sanskrit Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 why don't you private message her and do something about it. Kermit telling the Cookie Monster to man up on an internet forum, don't see that every day.

Just stay out of Miss Piggy's, the ecstasy dealer there sells bad dope and the sushi shooters are frozen.
