lilbunny Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 So I have decided it is high time I got myself back out there. I live in a small town, there wasn't much to choose from when I was 18, there is even less now. I am sceptical to say the least but I have decided to give online dating a go. I'm not expecting to find a soul mate or anything, but I thought at least I might meet some new people, get some dating experience under my belt (I have never been someone who dates, just got together with someone I knew already in most cases). I'm looking to have fun (clean fun before someone takes that and runs with it). I'm not totally adverse to something more serious, but I can't say I'm actively seeking it. Is it worthwhile? I am going to give it 6 months, seems a fair sort of trial. Seasoned online dating pros with any advice, tips etc most welcome. Is there an etiquette of any sort? All of this winking and what not is new to me. I have written a profile, but my assumption is your photograph is the main draw, right?
TigerCub Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Good for you lilbunny. I'm glad to see that you're testing out the waters. As far as profiles go. Don't make it too long Mention what you're looking for Mention some of the activities/interest you do/have Have a few pics. oh and check out the thread "unoriginal content in profiles" - posters are mentioning what they hate to see in online profiles - maybe that would help. Good luck
