ixi Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I met this guy through POF back in August and since then we have been IMing on a fairly regular basis. It might even be safe to say that I talk to him more a day than I do some of my friends. So it's been about 2 months and I have yet to meet him. Is that normal? In the beginning I did let him know that this was my first time meeting someone online and that I wasn't quite ready to meet him yet and he was ok with that. He understood and told me to tell him when I was ready for us to meet. So we continued talking for another week or so before I asked him out. At the time, he wouldn't make definite plans because he was unsure what he was doing that weekend which I understand so I asked him to let me know when he knew for sure what times worked for him. The week passed, the weekend passed and while I did talk to him during the time since I asked him out, he never got back to me. I don't understand why he doesn't want to met esp since he's the one who keeps reminding me to let him know when I was ready. I feel like I'm his penpal...which is not what I'm looking for. I really don't get it, is this normal for online dating? Am I wasting my time? Is he ever going to want to meet? I'm beginning to think that he might have something to hide. But then again, he's not the cutest person on earth, nor is he the most talented. He sounds likes an average guy so I don't see what there is to lie about.
