karlzweb Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 So I messed up, and for some reason called my girlfriend of almost 2 years by my ex wife's name and of course it was during the middle (well turned out to be the end) of passion. Some background.... Been divorced for well over 4 years after being married 5 years. Haven't seen ex wife in over two years, and dont think i have talked to her more than 5 minutes on the phone in two years either. But the GF is pissed, I can understand it. Not sure what to do. She thinks it means I am hooked on her, or have some "secret feelings" for her. So not the case. Any advice?

If that doesn't at least crack a smile on her, get with a woman with a better sense of humor. The exact name doesn't matter, could be Kenny G., Justin Bieber, Richard Simmons, etc., pick the name to fit her sense of humor or what would be most humiliating for you.
Maggotface Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Ouch. Let her cool down, that's a pretty big blow and I can understand why she feels the way she does. I would assume the same thing especially if I was angry. Let her vent, don't fight back and she should get over it with time.

I just thought it was funny (the context being I knew that he had zero feelings for her at that point and very little contact). Hopefully she'll cool down soon and you'll both look back and laugh at it together.
