thefreedomseeker Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 One day randomly after breakfast here at school, when I was trying to find a mandatory freshman seminar, I randomly met this girl, Deanna and her Roommate, they were lost trying to find the seminar too. We decide to all walk together and get there talk a little bit, after which, we go to lunch, the three of us, and the freshmen get to sign up for an off campus trip (like bowling, mini golf, etc..) Deanna and her roommate wanted to go ice skating, and asked if I wanted to come with them. I decided, why not? I can't ice skate to save my life, but neither can they, I found out, so after a few minutes, Deanna and I get off the wall and start to actually skate, we both fell (but when one of us would slow down or fall, the other would wait). After a while, my hip feels like it's gonna give out (and I mean something was gonna BREAK if I stayed out there too much longer) but I didn't want to leave the ice. Eventually I had to, and within about 30 seconds, Deanna comes off the ice and sits next to me. She talks about how cold her hands are, and naturally, she grabs my hand to show me and remarks on how warm my hands are. We sat next to each other just talking for like 2 hours, her hands in mine. We get back, there's some time between when we get back and the comedian that was gonna perform that night, so Deanna and her roommate invite me back to their dorm to hang out, and we did just that. On the way to the comedian, Deanna and I are walking together, we held hands all the way there. At the actual show, she leaned over on me a little it, I had my arm around her, she had her hand on my leg. After the comedian, I walk her back to her dorm, again holding hands, and give her a hug goodnight. Do you think I should ask her to be my girlfriend/how should I ask?
Confused100 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 No, don't ask her to be your girlfriend. That would be the worst thing to do. You two just met. Just ask her out on a date. If that goes well, continue to schedule more dates and let it flow naturally.
Author thefreedomseeker Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 Okay, good idea, I've been thinking about that. The question now becomes: how?
Confused100 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I'm assuming you have her phone number, so just call her up and suggest something. You already talked quite a bit the first time, so you can skip a coffee date (more suitable for getting to know the person to decide whether you want a more 'real' date). I frankly haven't had any experience past this part, so others can perhaps give better suggestions... but maybe a movie and dinner? Kind of standard though. Did you pick up on anything else she likes throughout that day that you could play off of?
