So I've been talking with this girl for a few weeks now, we have hung out a few times with friends and she seemed really into me. However, lately she has been flaky and not returning many of my texts, particularly the ones asking her if she is available to go out. The other day she texts me and asks if my bday is coming up and i say yes on tuesday, today, and she seemed like she wanted to do something with me to celebrate. However, today she didnt call or text me happy bday when everyone else i know and our mutual friends did so.

 

I guess my question is should i just stop pursuing her? She's been pretty unresponsive to my requests to hang out and she flaked on our last planned meeting. I know that she is the type to play hard to get, she kind of said so herself, but i'm thinking that i turned her off somehow, last time we saw eachother we went to the movies and i was making some forward moves (light touching while watching the movie, arm around the shoulder while walking, kiss on cheek at the end of the night), or that she met another guy, lots of guys are after her. Also, she just broke up with a dude she was engaged to and was a long time boyfriend, pretty much the only bf she ever had, a couple months ago.

 

I'm not letting this ruin my bday but I was pretty into her and she seemed pretty into me. oh well, all responses are appreciated.

That's not playing hard to get. She's just plain old rude. You have been asking her out and she hasn't responded means that she wants you to beg. That's different from the chase.

 

I would lose her number and never call her again. Sometimes the woman's ego can't take this and they start calling you. You never know.
