Serenitynow Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 (edited) Why do so many people try to blame "lack of confidence" on peoples dating woes? You have a person who is successful, has a good personality, and is confident in themselves and what they do in their daily life. Yet they know they arent the mold that most women are looking for, the first thing people (usually women) will say is "you dont have enough self confidence." Think right now, of some of the people you work with. Do you really have a solid opinion of whether they are confident in approaching the opposite sex? I bet you dont really have any idea. But if one of them came to you and told you how they've been striking out, whats the first thing most people would blame it on? Bingo. A persons confidence has little to do with another persons opinion of whether they will date them or not. Now there are exceptions, if you cant even complete a sentence, and your nervousness just ruins the whole thing. But in general, if people are attracted to each other, they tend to overlook a lot of mannerisms and personality traits. Also, if I just walk up to a girl, and talk to her out of the blue, or better yet, while she is with her friends, women label that as a guy with a lot of confidence. No its not. All that means is he's not afraid of the consequences, and has probably done it tons of times in the past. So keeping with that scenario, isnt that the type of guy most women say they dont want? Dont you think guys that have no problems approaching women can also be labeled as players? Because they dont really care how the girl reacts, its all about just getting the number? Its a catch 22 in many ways. Women say they want a guy like this or that, yet when you dissect it, there are always contradictions to it. ??????????????? Edited September 7, 2010 by Serenitynow

You need to teach that trait to a few million women, and maybe the dating world would be a better place instead of them sitting on their hands wondering when a guy is going to approach them. .
