EmptyPromises Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 okay so my ex has been wanting to get back together with me. problem is hes going back to school today and has cheated on me in the past. He says he isnt going to be talking to (as more than friends) or getting with other girls but i really dont believe him because hes done that several times before. Were not officially dating and I dont want to let my guard fully down with him because for some reason I really feel like hes going to screw up. My question is, since were not officially dating can i still talk to other guys or let guys take me out? I've never been one to "cheat" or go behind someones back but at the same time i dont want to be wasting my time and pass up potentially good guys until he can prove himself to me. would u?

He has absolutely no obligation to you to not talk to anyone else, go out with them, or hook up with them. And neither have you. You're both free agents, and owe each other nothing. He doesn't have to prove anything to you. He's your ex-, why should he? You're either together, or you're not. If you're together, then yes, you deserve commitment and respect. If you're not together, move on, have fun, date who you want and let go.
sugarmomma Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Are you serious??? He cheated??? Don't even give it a second thought as to whether you should be dating. Of course you should. He sounds like a real loser anyway. Find someone who doesn't believe in cheating.
