dispatch3d Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 If I call a woman crazy I really don't think she should complain. Look, I am probably the craziest of the two of us. Really I'm just being a hypocrite. So even if I call them crazy, I am still crazy. Thus you do not have a leg to stand on. And to the relatively unemotional guy, wouldn't a girl whose being particularly emotional be labelled as crazy? This has nothing to do with "a lose of respect for women". Only the crazy ones label it as that. You could pretty well label any behaviour as "a lose of respect" for women if you so deemed it.
dreamingoftigers Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I refuse to coddle truely anoying women. But many men date FAT, CRAZY women so it will continue I am FAT, my husband is FAT one of the ways we bond together is by cooking tons of food for each other, glad I am not crazy though.... Been through it, if I had to pick between FAT and crazy, I would pick FAT. You have a real thing about that eh? Why are people being FAT and minding their own business such an issue for you?
meerkat stew Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I refuse to coddle truely anoying women. But many men date FAT, CRAZY women so it will continue Lots more crazies, male and female, on the other side of the fitness scale though. Obsession with body is one of the indicators of cluster disorders, as are eating disorders. I know many more "crazies" who are in excellent shape (and have dated them) than mildly or moderately overweight. The old saying is "Fat and happy" for a reason. NOT claiming that people who keep physically fit are more likely to be crazy, just that there is a subset of people within hardcore fitness aficianados who have mental/emotional issues due to body obsession.
naya1 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 cool sad..i know i used to think i was crazy until i heard my co workers talk about how they prohibit their husbands in going to bars (alone, after a hard day of work) or taking their picture beside a import car model (u know, those girls wearing firestone shirts and short skirts). i have one request tho.. play misty for me
desertmoon Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 This is equally the fault of men who coddle and indulge women. You see a variant of it in play here and other anonymous net places where certain women expect to be able to say any old preposterous thing, to insult freely while bristling at any return treatment, and have it blindly accepted as if they were standing in front of a typical, live audience of adulating, supplicating men. They aren't I want to be cuddled and indulged and always thought I had a captive audience...I don't?
meerkat stew Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) I want to be cuddled and indulged and always thought I had a captive audience...I don't? No, you want to be taken at your word, and have your views considered because of your individual personality and powers of thought and expression, not merely because of your gender and that you have been conditioned that anything you say will be accepted by men merely because you are a woman. The difference is obvious. As far as captive audience goes, check your PM. Edited September 5, 2010 by meerkat stew
EasyHeart Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I don't think it's right to say that all women are crazy. I prefer the term "bat-sh*t insane".

Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 LOL. Many so-called "crazy" women are generally better described as "crazy like a fox." The seemingly "irrational" behavior is simply a manipulation tactic for the most part. It keeps the "adversary" off-balance and not knowing what to expect, defensive. That's what's intended. However perhaps many women don't do this consciously for the most part as they've been socialized thoroughly in these kinds of manipulative behaviors. The men who are joking and laughing about so-called "crazy women" should change that attitude because it causes them to underestimate what and who they are dealing with. Obviously if someone's behavior is so unbalanced that they are actually "crazy" then the solution is to have nothing to do with such people. But that's not really what most guys like OP's bro. are talking about is it? It may SEEM like a woman who is cheating with a married man has "lost all common sense" but in most cases she's simply acting in a very manipulative and calculated manner. Cheating, esp. over an extensive period, DEMANDS precise manipulation and calculation to avoid discovery. EVERYTHING is calculated with precision. Of course you also run into the issue of women who are cheating but WANT the disclosure--on their terms of course--so as to "push" the illicit relationship in one direction or another. The whole "walk away wife" syndrome often discussed here is largely a symptom of the underlying ability of many women to be coldly calculating. There are certainly women like this but there also crazy ones. How do you explain women who keep getting crapped on by players and just keep going back for more. How do you explain somebody like my ex who threw her future away over a man she originally wanted a divorce from?
Mme. Chaucer Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I refuse to coddle truely anoying women. But many men date FAT, CRAZY women so it will continue How did FAT get into this conversation? There are plenty of extremely skinny crazy women. One lives right down the road.
threebyfate Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 So Vonnegut. Men are jerks and women are psychotic.
witabix Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 How did FAT get into this conversation? There are plenty of extremely skinny crazy women. One lives right down the road. I thought it may be another acronym..... For.... Maybe.... Fat And Talentless.
confused192 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I am a woman and I've always felt most girls are crazy, sorry:) But I guess I've never really seen it as a big deal. If you know who you really are, that's all that matters really.
Nikki Sahagin Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Not all women but how do you explain somebody that loses all common sense over a married man? Love/lust are a type of crazy that is not related to a persons personality; thats basically down to hormones.
Nikki Sahagin Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Maybe women are perceived as crazy because women tend to come from a more emotional place and men from a more rational place - therefore men and women will always clash over how they see the world. I am an intelligent woman but my reactions to my world are emotional for the most part. I don't think that makes me crazy. Frankly, I think people that see the world too logically and practically are the crazy ones who can't feel what life is really about. How much of 'crazy' is what comes directly from emotion? Yet thoughts can also be crazy (think of an emotionless psychopath).
jamesum Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Its all about the difference of upbringing between the sexes. Since childhood, going bat-sh*t insane is tolerated for girls, while boys are supposed to express themselves less thus they think a lot more before expressing something.

Since childhood, going bat-sh*t insane is tolerated for girls, while boys are supposed to express themselves less thus they think a lot more before expressing something. Its more that girls and boys are taught to express themselves in different ways. Men are allowed to express emotions like anger whilst girls are allowed to express emotions like sadness. Because many girls and boys don't then learn to explore the repressed emotion, they can tend to produce an overload of the emotion that they ARE comfortable expressing i.e. an insecure male may beat his girlfriend or get in regular fights rather than converse, an angry woman may self-harm instead of address the issue making her unhappy.

Men know there are consequences to acting a certain way. I have seen some women in public do things that would get a man's ass kicked and get away with it.
torranceshipman Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Women aren't crazy, but many of them refuse to put effort into developing the consistency of character and mental discipline necessary to resist being tossed about life as if adrift in a sea of uncontrollable emotion. This causes those with this failing to seem mentally unstable in men's eyes. This is equally the fault of men who coddle and indulge women. You see a variant of it in play here and other anonymous net places where certain women expect to be able to say any old preposterous thing, to insult freely while bristling at any return treatment, and have it blindly accepted as if they were standing in front of a typical, live audience of adulating, supplicating men. They aren't Oh please, men can totally be little boy-atches too - some guys, I'd bet, would think that character and mental discipline are the names of WOW characters :D - this isn't a gender thing at all. Or maybe that was just my experience

LOL bat sh*t insane - I love it. Well I don't know about you but I don't remember any girls where I grew up being tolerated for bat s*it insanity, not do I remember guys giving a lot more careful consideration before speaking. In our class there was a lot of guys speaking the loudest to get the most attention from the teacher, and I can't say that the content of most of that was particularly stellar!
JohnnyBlaze Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I've never thought that all, or even most women were crazy. The ones I've dated, however, have been certifiably loco. Funny enough, shortly after the relationships ended, they all seemed to realize that, in retrospect, I was right. Right after the breakups, they all said the same thing; "I must've been crazy!!" ...hey, waitaminute!
