Labster12 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Today I received a message from a girl who is now my ex. Issue is race, she is Hispanic and I am Indian (India). She said her parents told her Black or White guy is okay but they prefer Latin, she also said that they did not like it too much when she brought me home. Her mother had a bad experience with an Indian guy who was with her and left her for a girl his mother had set up for her. As you guys know I ran into a lot of issues for being with her and now we are over. She said she just doesn't know what to do, she said ever since she hooked up with me her family has treated her in a different way and her parents just started yelling and shouting at her today. She also said that some of her friends have stopped hanging out with her because they thought she was a fool for going out with an Indian guy...... She said she is sorry and she told me not let this change my perception of all Hispanics but I just can't help it now. I date a Latin chick and it relieves my curiosity about the Indian guy - Latina question, now she breaks up with me for a racial issue, I am torn in half because of it (want to cry a little but won't do so), and I just feel, empty.... I mean here I was thinking race doesn't mean anything, just because an Indian guy - Latina pairing does not exist in the US I should not worry about it and blah blah blah. Now I feel so discouraged, I still love Latinas a lot but this experience left me so sad and depressed..... What if my dream of having a Latina wife is unrealistic (and now is not the time to tell me to quit having preferences and look beyond race and blah blah blah blah blah......), I just feel so bad....

More and more people are doing it. You were involved with someone that likely lied about the real reason you're not together and a coward for breaking up over FB.

Man I have always been into Latinas and I pretty much learned that they are not into Indian guys, I dated her and ran into so much issues for it from other Hispanics in my area. Screw it, thanks for all help, I am just not dating interracial anymore. Heck, White and Black guys these days never run into this garbage, uh!

Kinda hypocritical huh? You feel entitled to marry a Latina girl yet you're offended that a Latina girl wouldn't want an Indian guy. You get to have a racial preference but they don't.

I think you should date indian girls over hispanic anyway and not b/c you're indian. Indian girls around here are a little more grounded and long term material than hispanic girls. Indian girls are really sweet, hispanic girls tend to be more jealous, bad temper, and possessive. No offense to any1 but that's my opinion from experience dating plenty from both of those races

Author Labster12 Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) you guys don't get it, she really suffered through that stuff, I saw it in front of my eyes but yea, forget her also, nothing hypocrite about it, they can have their preferences, I don't expect White girls to feel bad because I am not that much into them, plenty of Indian guys out there are anyways it be best if I just give up on interracial dating, been with 1 Filipina, 2 White girls who I had no attraction for, see I actually gave them a chance been with one Latina I had an attraction for but Indian guy - Latina can't work out period so there, I am done with interracial dating I learned why most Indian guys date and marry exclusively within their own race now...
