guy.lepage Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I recently had dinner with this gorgeous woman. Conversation was great, the chemistry was there and I'd made the decision by then that I'd like to see her again. The next morning, I get a text message. Three days later, she phones me. She says she bought the same fish we had at the restaurant. I presume the fish reminds her of me? Anyway, am I nuts or is the woman a bit psycho?
Dante311 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 So I like to cook... I made dinner a few times for this recent ex I was seeing. A week after I broke up with her she texts me and says she went out and bought a cookbook of the cuisine I cooked her because the food was so good. She was psycho... a cutter... BPD and BPD (borderline & bipolar)... Yeah. I changed my phone number fast. I will admit, at first when I learned of her ailments... I IMMEDIATELY tried to be supportive. That UPSET her. Yeah... umm good luck.
TaraMaiden Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Only if she insists on a threesome - with the fish.... Maybe she's just relishing the nice memory of dinner with you. Why would you think she's psycho??
Arabella Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 So she showed interest by contacting you first... and she bought the same fish because she enjoyed it. What's the big deal? You're being WAY too judgmental based on NOTHING. Give the girl a break. Arabella
Author guy.lepage Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 I mean, I haven't had time to digest the meal that she already made contact twice. I'm happy she's interested but my past experiece with women who are very keen wasn't good. Things tend to crash and burn pretty quickly.
yamanbt Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I have yet to meet a woman who is not, at least, "a bit" crazy. She sounds cool to me.

Sounds fishy he he he I gotta go, how does one get unaddicted to loveshack? Maybe she likes you and is very romantic, I don't know, but it could be a possibility that she's just highly sentimental.
D-Lish Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I don't know if it makes her psycho! BUT, she is being a little too eager, a little too soon. I myself would never contact a guy after a date.
bobdole Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I personally think "the rules" and the arbitrary time lines are retarded. I imagine she simply had a great time with you and is eager. Yes it could mean shes desperate. It could also mean she simply feels as I do.. That she'll message you whenever the hell she feels like she wants to message you.

Let's put this into context: 1 text (post-date, which is courteous) and a phone call THREE days later? No- I think she sounds like a nice person. My question would be, why hadn't you contacted her by 3 days out?

I'm happy she's interested but my past experiece with women who are very keen wasn't good. Things tend to crash and burn pretty quickly. By the way, your digestive system works a lot faster than 3+ days. It's more like 8 hours....

My question would be, why hadn't you contacted her by 3 days out? I didn't want to go too fast and I also had second thoughts about her. There's someone else I'm seeing who I feel more passion for...
Author guy.lepage Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 By the way, your digestive system works a lot faster than 3+ days. It's more like 8 hours.... You're obviously wasting a lot of toilet paper.
Star Gazer Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 You're obviously wasting a lot of toilet paper. Actually, you're obviously constipated (i.e., "full of sh*t"). I mean that lovingly, of course. The girl has expressed interest, not a crazy side. Some guys here would require that she behave just as she has.
FL Lady Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 You're obviously wasting a lot of toilet paper. Nope....... Depending on what you eat, digestion occurs as quickly as 3-8 hours. So, you like someone else? Hmmm that was not part of the original post? Why take this "georgeous" girl out then? She sounds really nice? Shoot, I'd contact a date after 3 days NC just to see what the deal was? Unless the date was a bore, then I say, no big deal. Anyways, seems like most guys would like a follow-up text or call. I don't buy into text or phone games though. That's ridiculous.
Mad Max Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I don't see the issue here. If she texted and called in the same day, then yes I would see why you think she's a little odd. They were three days apart and she simply started a convo about fish. I don't see a problem here. If she leaves a fish on your doorstep wrapped in paper, then that's a problem. Otherwise, stop overthinking it.
bac Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I mean, I haven't had time to digest the meal that she already made contact twice. I'm happy she's interested but my past experiece with women who are very keen wasn't good. Things tend to crash and burn pretty quickly. It is normal to contact your date after the first date within next 24 hrs. If you did not do that, it means that you are not interested. Because you paid for the dinner, she felt grateful and just wanted to show appeciation. After a good dinner with a guy who is not really wealthy, it feels sometimes kind of emotional pressure to compensate him for the dinner by being thankful. It also means that she likes you. It also might mean that she senses that she should help you by taking initiative to move things forward. I do not know if she is normal because you should have more dates to figure out that.
