SadandConfusedWA Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I have been corresponding with 4 guys on OKC for few weeks or so. I usually reply to all of them every night after work. Anyhow, 2 days ago I ended up switching the names of 2 guys around by accident. My message was still relevant to what they have written, it's just the names. I haven't heard from either of them since. It's a pity because one of those guys was by far the one I liked the most. I was just tired when writing. Guys, would this sort of thing hugely bother you to the point of not responding? Should I apologize?
Pfiend101 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Id probably laugh it off. That type of thing to me is funny.

An apology might work, might not.
bobdole Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I would be understanding about because I've done some similar things. Once on a "generic" message I made on my iPhone for the girls with very sparse profiles - my iPhone "fixed" my spelling to where a sentence read something like "I would be very interested in obtaining with you" where obtaining was supposed to be conversing (I think). Needless to say I didn't hear hack from any of them.
Cee Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm on OKC and like things to move to regular email within 2 weeks if I'm interested. I would write the guy you like and start a whole new conversation topic & give him your regular email. I wouldn't bring up the mix up. A lot of guys get strung along for weeks or months on OKC without a date. Prove to him you're not that woman. As for the other guy, you were leading him on. And him seeing the mix up will help him move along. I'd leave him be. If the guy you like doesn't respond, no worries. You seem to be doing pretty well on the site and there are plenty of interesting and attractive people out there.
Rorschach Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 For what it counts I would just laugh and shrug it off, mostly because I've done it too and understand how it can just be an innocent mistake.

Should I apologize? sorry but is normally my reaction when that happens! have had this done to me and I've done it.. agree with Cee, new email, new conversation and make sure to start it with Hi *Insert Correct Name*... if it does come up, just play blonde.... "ha ha, sorry, was half asleep that night, guess I'm gonna have to buy ya a cup of coffee to make up for it!"... don't make an issue out of it.. and ya might just get a wee date too!!!
mitchell Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Wouldn't bother me unless you used the wrong name while making love.
meerkat stew Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 If an apology were forthcoming quickly, might continue conversation. I received a form letter reply once, disguised as a personal Email, from a woman on match I'd been conversing with and terminated all contact immediately. The tipoff was that she started the Email, "Hey you!"
naya1 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 i think if u call all of them babe then u dont need to use their real names and u wont get caught in the future.
Star Gazer Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I recently received a message where the dude started his introductory email WITH my name. I have no idea how he KNEW my name! As for this mistake, it's happened to me before, and honestly, I never responded to them again.
jamesum Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Lol, hilarious story. Men arent stupid. They realized they were just one of the options.
