matesofstate Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 ... does anyone else think it's strange that we take online dating advice from other people who probably aren't that great at dating either, if we are all looking for answers here on this board? Clearly if we are on here we need help with dating in some form or another. I don't mean to be offensive to anyone... I'm on here too... just food for thought and curious if others thought about this :-)
yah Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Yeah, I've thought about that. lol. You pick and choose who sounds more rational, I guess. Some may have more experience than others and can share what's worked and what hasn't.
Feelin Frisky Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I'm not here to get advice. Sometimes I give it when asked. But there's no stigma about spending time on LS. It's engaging and fun--better than TV fer sure. Conflicts have been way offset by positives here. My pm box is reaching its limits and none of it is piss and vinegar just sweet sallies of wit with las muchachas.
my body is a cage Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think that all the time. In some ways I think LS, although well intentioned, encourages us to over analyze things, which is never good.
Cee Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think the board is great for sharing experiences, good and bad. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one going through stuff.
atlnay Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Its no better or worse than getting tips from well meaning single friend or unhappily married people giving advice...
