How often do you contact the opposite sex first?

As in you're starting a conversation, hi how are you or whatever your standard hello what the eff is going on phrase is. How often do you start things off? I've gone from always contacting the girl first to probably 50/50 if not lower. Something like msn or facebook I never write the first message but get messages if I leave it on etc.

 

feel like I'm out of touch or something with standard people...... anyhow whats your experience? Do you think this helps/hurts you?

More fellows come up to me than I go up to.

 

However, I've gone up to more than 3/4 the fellows I've seriously dated. I tend to be better off when I do the picking.
