PhillyDude Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) Always put effort into your appearance no matter if the girl you are meeting is average looking in her photo because she can look completely different face to face. I met this girl last month and thought she was overweight and plain going by her picture online and I was shocked. She was not fat and was very attractive and because I thought she was average I didnt put any effort into looking nice. I met her right after work and didn't feel the need to go home first. So guys please make sure you make a good impression because I missed out on a opportunity by not getting a haircut and not presenting myself the right way. I know some of you may ask-"why did I meet her if I thought she was going to be fat?" Because I liked her personality over the phone and thought she would make a good friend. I have two pics but always send out the less flattering one, where i am not smiling as hard, and the angle makes me look a lil heavier than i actuall am. My theory being if a dude can find that version of me attractive, he'll be really impressed when he meets me in real life...i've yet to be proven wrong

meerkat stew Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Have had this happen over and over online dating. Several, as many as 5 or so of 30 dated online had awful pictures and turned out to be striking in person. Have had only a couple be significantly worse looking than their pics.
