Okay guys, a little background..

I joined match a few weeks back but only started using it properly since last weekend as I have been busy with work and GMAT etc..

anyway.. 3 guys had taken my fancy so far and we exchanged numbers etc...

I am planning to meet them next week as again my weekends were already planned.. so of these 3, I like one slightly more than the rest..other 2 are very keen and initiate texting almost every day but the one I like a bit more is always viewieng my profile but doesnt initiate text, I once initiated and he wouldnt stop texting but he doesnt seem to initiate.. I am to meet him next friday and he was showing a lot of excitement and planning to find a good place for our date etc but I am skeptical of meeting him now because of his lack of initial contact.. is it a normal thing? ( I have never used online dating before so dont know the ins and outs of it tbh!!)

I prefer little contact after I setup the first date. Just enough to remind her I'm still here basically. You don't want to spill your life's story in email / texts. Save that for real in person conversation. Its much more satisfying.

The smarter, more experienced and selective men will initiate less contact before the first date from a dating site.

 

The smartest won't initiate any contact at all other than to ask you out for the next date until there is an exclusive relationship in place.

I'm also not a huge fan of too much contact before the first date. You have the date set up, you'll talk then.

 

I think you're way over-thinking things. Just keep your word and show up on the date.

okay, thanks everyone..

like I said I have not dated anyone from online so I wasnt sure if it was the norm but looks like most guys prefer less contact so its all cool. I,ll just go meet him and take it from there..
